Standing by the pond, with water splashing chaotically, it feels like bunches of white plum blossoms are hitting your face, 'falling like a drizzle', making one feel as if they have stepped into a fine rainy day in Huangmei, hence the name Meiyu Pond. The shape of the pond is like 'a very large lotus leaf spread out', and the pond water is 'like a piece of warm and moist jade'.
