Take a half-day off Friday afternoon to set off, return Sunday night, and immerse the kids in the fragrant tea mountains and waters, washing away the week's fatigue～ Many itineraries are packed too tightly, which is impossible to handle with kids! The southern area has concentrated attractions but requires walking 30,000 steps; the northern area has the mother tree of Da Hong Pao tea that you don’t want to miss. Initially worried about Wuyi Mountain’s 200+ rainy days affecting the trip, but playing with kids in the rain brought a different kind of poetic charm—super surprising! DAY 1⃣️: Leisurely tour with kids, every stop is fun 1. **Baiyun Zen Temple to watch the sea of clouds/sunrise**: Check the sunrise time in advance, wake the kids early without rushing, and reach the mountaintop just in time to see the sea of clouds wrapping the mountains—super healing! After sunrise, have a vegetarian meal at the temple, light and warming, the kids eat very well. 2. **Jiuguxi Bamboo Rafting**: Get down the mountain before 9 AM to catch the bamboo raft; the 90-minute rafting is perfect for kids! Sitting on the raft watching the green mountains retreat on both sides, the clear water reveals little fish for the kids to observe, all relaxed and easy for mom. 3. **Song Street/Wuyi Palace for strolling and eating**: After rafting, arrive at Song Street, an ancient-style street perfect for photos. Buy the kids a special little toy, then find a small shop to try local snacks, great for recharging energy. 4. **Rock Valley Flower Fragrance Walk**: Enter from the north gate and walk just a few hundred meters to Da Hong Pao. The narrow path follows the mountain and water, with wildflowers by the roadside. Walk slowly with the kids, listening to birds and insects—much more comfortable than visiting crowded attractions. 5. **Impression Da Hong Pao Show**: Watch the live-action show with the kids at night. The 360-degree rotating stage is stunning, with lighting blending beautifully with the mountains and waters. The kids watch without blinking and also learn about Wuyi Mountain culture. ⚠️ Important! The number of passengers on the bamboo raft depends on the water level that day, usually 8 people; when we went, it was 7. You must gather enough people to queue. After gathering, remember to get a ticket and stand first in line to choose the front seats on the raft for better views for the kids～ If time allows, you can also return to the bus stop to visit Water Curtain Cave, but it might be dry on sunny days, so choose based on the situation. DAY 2⃣️: Light hiking + slow experience, easy for mom with kids 1. **Tianyou Peak light hike**: In the morning, take the kids to climb Tianyou Peak, choose an easy route. You don’t need to reach the summit to see beautiful scenery. Standing on the viewing platform, you see endless mountains, and the kids excitedly point out distant peaks—very rewarding. 2. **Yixiantian Exploration**: Walking through Yixiantian with kids is super fun! The narrow stone crevice lets sunlight in, and the kids will curiously ask questions. You can even race with the kids to see who reaches the exit first, adding interactive fun. 3. **Buzhichunzhai Tea House Tea Tasting**: In the afternoon, take the kids to the tea house. The environment is very quiet. Order a mild tea for the kids and relax with a cup of Wuyi rock tea yourself. Read books and take photos with the kids, enjoying slow-paced family time. 4. **Pack up and return**: After tea, pack up leisurely and end a perfect weekend family trip. The kids are reluctant to leave and say they want to come again next time～ ⚠️ Wuyi Mountain is actually not big, don’t worry about going back and forth between north and south with kids; taxis are very convenient. If the kids have good stamina, you can swap the Rock Valley Flower Fragrance walk on DAY 1 with the tea house on DAY 2—play south area on the first day and north area on the second, adjusting according to the kids’ condition～ On light rainy days, it’s highly recommended to take the kids into the mountains. The misty mountains look like a fairyland, and the kids will find it magical; if the rain is heavy, take the kids to experience tea making and Jian Zhan pottery making—hands-on and fun, no time wasted! The most special thing is you have to take a boat to check in. The kids were excited, clapping their hands for the first time riding a small boat to the hotel. It’s quiet and comfortable at night; the kids sleep very well, and parents can rest well too～ Must-try restaurants & experiences with kids - **Restaurants**: Fuyu·Jiaotingli has a great atmosphere for dining with kids, dishes are mild and suitable for children; Xiao Qi’s shop is conveniently located with signature dishes that are super delicious, and the kids always eat an extra half bowl of rice. - **Tea Making Experience**: Shijia Mingyuan Tea Estate is perfect for rainy days with kids.
