The only hotel I've stayed at three times for business trips in Xiamen!

New Memories of Egret Island｜Hyatt Centric Xiamen Seafront Taking advantage of Air China's off-peak mileage redemption, I flew to Quanzhou. Since there are no Hyatt properties in Quanzhou, I diverted to experience the newly opened Hyatt Centric Xiamen Seafront, which had been operating for less than two months. 📍Location & Transportation: The hotel is located on the southern Ring Island Road in Xiamen Island, adjacent to Zengcuoan. Nearby, there's the Baojia CC Park commercial facility, though it hasn't gained much popularity yet, offering limited support to the hotel. It's also not far from attractions like Xiamen University's White City and Nanputuo Temple, with plenty of local snacks around and a lively atmosphere at night. 🏘️Room Types/Layout: The hotel has 5 floors in total, with a long Z-shaped layout. As a Globalist, I was upgraded to the Premier Suite after some communication, which offers better layout and views compared to the standard Centric Suite. The room features a fresh, blue-and-white style with plenty of coastal resort elements, and the public areas are very photogenic. The base room doesn't have a bathtub, and there are many mirrors in the room. Some rooms feature bay windows, perfect for sitting and relaxing. 🛌Amenities/Facilities: - The hotel has a gym with few users, providing a good experience. - The signature pool is scheduled to open on April 1st and is currently unavailable. - There's an open-air seaside bar next to the pool, ideal for evening drinks. - The minibar is complimentary for the first round, somewhat making up for the lack of a club lounge. Dining Quality: The breakfast covers the basics but has relatively limited variety. Stay Experience: - The front desk staff were warm and attentive, somewhat compensating for the hardware shortcomings. - As a newly opened hotel, some facilities aren't fully operational yet. The Hyatt Centric brand doesn't have a club lounge, so aside from the rooms and gym, there's limited public space to linger. - The hotel is low-rise (only 5 floors), so sea views are minimal, and some rooms may overlook the parking lot. - There are many families with children staying here, and the pool area might get lively once it opens. 💗Other Tips: - The hotel has a fresh, coastal-themed design, and the public areas are great for photos. - There are many nearby attractions and local snacks, making it convenient for exploring and dining. - If you want sea views, consider other hotels (like the Conrad Xiamen), but note that traffic there can be heavy. - Ideal for travelers who love Xiamen's scenery and food and want to try a new hotel, especially with added perks—worth a visit. Overall, the Hyatt Centric Xiamen Seafront, as a newly opened hotel, has its unique features and advantages, though there's room for improvement. It's a great choice for travelers with specific needs.
