The Jingling Reservoir, which is under construction, will flood parts of the ancient trail. The current planned flooding impact year is 2027. Before that, you must come and appreciate the beauty of this thousand-year-old ancient road. ⛰️Route Anshan Village-Feilong Waterfall-Huangtan-Xiaoquanxi Village This section brings together the essence of the Anshan Ancient Road. You can go back and forth. It will be easier to start from Anshan Village Distance: about 6km Climb: about 200m Estimated time: 2-3h ✅Check-in strategy 🛖Anshan Village: Built on the mountain, it was once far away from water sources and was dry all year round. It was originally named "Ganshan". The villagers dug wells from the rock strata and brought in sweet spring water, turning this place into a peaceful and pleasant place to live. Today, the "Ten-Li Ladder to Heaven" bluestone pavement, the clear "Anshan Well", and the towering "Ancient Torreya grandis Tree" in the village all bear witness to the journey of hardships and sweet success. This is also the origin of the famous 🍵Anshan Jade Tea 🏜️Observation Deck: About 600m from Anshan Village. Facing the steep mountain wall, you can see the tea plantations, streams and stone bridges in the valley, as well as the Huguo Temple in the distance. Continue down and you will pass a 700-year-old 🌳Chocolate tree 🌊Feilong Waterfall: Go about 500m along the stream next to Huguo Temple to reach it. The waterfall is about 30 meters high, and the dragon pool below is emerald green. There is a stone platform to walk through, which is a must-see shooting point📷 🌈Jinsuo Bridge: Turn back from the waterfall and head northeast. This section follows the Longjiang River winding through the mountains and is the best section of the entire route. After about 1.5 km, you can see the Jinsuo Bridge. The stone bridge has a history of more than a hundred years. It is like a flying rainbow over the stream, with a height difference of more than ten meters and a unique shape. 🛖Xiaoquanxi Village: Continue 1.5km to reach it. The village is built along the stream, the water flow is slow, and there is a fish scale dam, which is a summer water play paradise 🔔Tips 🚻Along the road: There are toilets in the village and Huguo Temple, and there is a small shop near Huangtan for supplies 🚗Transportation: Parking is available in Anshan Village and Xiaoquanxi Village. There are villagers who provide pick-up and drop-off services between the two villages. Please pay attention to the phone numbers along the way. 🚌Public transportation can be checked for Xinchang Xiaoquanxi Special Line, Xinchang Bus No. 108 and No. 109, which have fewer buses and need to be planned in advance 🏘️Surroundings: You can walk to Xixi Village or Zhutan Village. The He Family Ancestral Hall in Xixi Village and the wooden bridge in Zhutan Village are also worth visiting. You can also drive to Jianguo Village, which is at a higher altitude, and there is an observatory where you can have a panoramic view.
