Nalati - The Place with Sunshine

Nalati, as a representative of Xinjiang's grasslands, has long been hailed as the "King of Ili Grasslands." Those who have visited praise its grandeur, breathtaking beauty, and vastness. Nalati, meaning "the place with sunshine" in Mongolian, has a legendary origin. It is said that during Genghis Khan's western expedition, a weary army marching toward Ili encountered relentless snowstorms. However, upon crossing a mountain ridge, they were greeted by a magnificent grassland in full bloom. As the clouds parted and the sun emerged, the soldiers exclaimed, "Nalati (there's sunshine)! Nalati!" Thus, the grassland got its name. It was once named one of China's six most beautiful grasslands by "China National Geography." From April each year, Nalati Grassland enters its most beautiful season. Wild lilies break through the ice and bloom under the sun, while various mountain flowers compete in full bloom. Against the backdrop of snow-capped mountains, valleys, and forests, it instantly transports you to Switzerland.
