This is not mountaineering, but a poetic pilgrimage to the clouds of Li Bai and Du Fu

🔸Before me lies the bottomless Qutang Gorge, with the Yangtze River flowing slowly between the towering cliffs. I stand at the summit of the Three Gorges at an altitude of 1,388 meters. The sound of the wind blowing past my ears—could it be the same as what the Sage of Poetry heard over a thousand years ago? 🔸The name "Summit of the Three Gorges" originates from the timeless masterpiece by the Sage of Poetry Du Fu in his "Ten Songs of Kuizhou," which includes the line "Red armor and white salt pierce the sky, the bustling streets wind around the mountain peaks." 🔸The Summit of the Three Gorges is located at the western end of the Yangtze Three Gorges, above Kuimen, at an altitude of 1,388 meters. It is praised as the pinnacle where culture and nature converge. Beneath my feet lies Fengjie, anciently known as Kuizhou, a "Chinese Poetry City" with over 2,300 years of history, where great poets like Li Bai and Liu Yuxi left immortal works. 🔸This place is also the birthplace of ancient elegant music over 4,000 years ago. Legend has it that the ancestor of Chinese music, "Kui," was born here, infusing this landscape with an ethereal musical soul. 【Classic Hiking Routes】 ✔️Full Challenge Route (about 10 km, 5-6 hours) Route: Enter from Baidi City ➠ Take a boat across the river ➠ Jiangxia Culture Museum ➠ Chijia Tower ➠ 66 Switchbacks ➠ Summit of the Three Gorges. Features: Starts at a low altitude, high difficulty, full scenic views. Tickets for both Baidi City and Summit of the Three Gorges scenic areas are required. To earn a medal, you must enter from Baidi City and start the initial check-in point at the Jiangxia Culture Museum. ✔️Half Essence Route (about 6.8-7 km, 3-4 hours) Route: Aokou ➠ 66 Switchbacks ➠ Summit of the Three Gorges. Features: Starts halfway up the mountain, saving some energy while still experiencing the core section. Only a ticket for the Summit of the Three Gorges is needed. You can take a taxi or tourist shuttle from Baidi City to the Aokou starting point. ✔️Descent: Walk from the Summit of the Three Gorges scenic area to Kuigu Square, where you can take a sightseeing bus or cable car down. 【Transportation】 🚄 High-speed rail: Chongqing main city to Fengjie Station (about 2 hours by high-speed train) 🚗 By car: Fengjie Station to Baidi City (about 50 minutes); Fengjie Station to Summit of the Three Gorges (about 65 minutes)
