"Lewu Japanese Cuisine" in Toucheng Old Street, Yilan, is an old shop where even locals line up!

My son had piano lessons on Saturday afternoon, so I drove to Toucheng for a short vacation. There was no traffic jam at all and we arrived in 40 minutes. For dinner, we chose the "Lewu Japanese Restaurant", a well-known Japanese restaurant in the old street. It is a popular Japanese restaurant in the area. The restaurant is only a short drive from Wushigang Fishing Port and can deliver the freshest catches daily to ensure the quality and flavor of the ingredients. There is a row of waiting chairs outside the store, and there is often a long queue during meal time. We deliberately came a little later to avoid the crowd and wait for the second group. Inside is a very traditional Japanese restaurant, and the small shop is full of gourmets. Remember to get the limited edition miso soup first. We ordered a mix of sushi, including the sweet tofu sushi that my son loves, fried pork with burdock, and deep-fried pork cutlet with curry rice. The coating on the pork cutlet was not too thick, and the curry sauce even had corn kernels in it. My son and husband really enjoyed the meal. I also ordered mashed potato salad, and mayonnaise was placed on the side, which is good for me as I don’t eat mayonnaise. The shrimp and asparagus roll won the first place that night. The shrimp was fresh and plump, the asparagus was crisp and generous, and a little mashed potato was added in it. It was delicious🤤 Lewu will also launch limited edition hidden dishes based on the day's catch, so that gourmets can have different surprises every time they visit. We ordered freshly grilled red-tail winter fish. The chef's grilling skills were first-rate and the freshly caught fish was really fresh and delicious. I also ordered a grilled mackerel, my son loves fish 😘 Whether you love Japanese raw fish dishes or want to taste the fresh local seafood, Lewu is a good choice! After the meal, we took a walk to eat at A-Zong Taro Ice City and also went to Toucheng Railway Station for a stroll.
