Forest Amusement Park Series PART3️⃣

I went to Taiping Mountain in Yilan last weekend, and I realized that the forest can really "talk"! First, take a retro tram on the Maoxing Line and slowly pass through the cypress forest and rail traces, as if traveling through time. There is also an old cable car base next to the forest railway, which is part of Taiwan's forestry history. This is indeed a dream place for forest lovers in northern Taiwan! From an altitude of 500m to a mountainous area covering 2,000m, you will be surrounded by dense shade and phytoncides as soon as you enter the park in the morning. Take a deep breath and feel full of vitality🥰 Then walk to the Jianqing Nostalgic Trail, you can go deep into the forest without climbing high, enjoy the dense anions, and breathe super healing! Get up early in the morning to the observation deck and see the sea of ​​clouds slowly drifting across the valley, like clouds rolling under your feet. The feeling is hard to describe in words. In the afternoon, change to Cuifeng Lake and walk around the lake. While enjoying the lake and mountains, you look forward to seeing the legendary "Sapphire of Taiping Mountain". The lakeside trail is comfortable and gentle, surrounded by lush Taiwan beech trees, and the scenery is amazing. When going down the mountain, you can go to Jiuzhize to soak in the hot springs. The alternation of hot and cold is like turning on a switch for your body and mind. In addition, the park has beautiful scenery in all four seasons. You can enjoy the summer heat, spring flowers, autumn maples, and winter fog and snow at the same time. It's really worth it! 🚂 Bong-Bong Car Experience The most eye-catching thing about Taipingshan is the re-running "Bong-Bong Car" (Maoxing Line). Take the yellow train and slowly travel through the forest trails. Each carriage exudes a retro flavor. Passing by the remains of the old mountain railway and the cableway base along the way, it's like a time journey through a century of forestry history 🌲 Trail Exploration The park has more than 8 national-level trails, including Jianqing Nostalgia, Cypress Primeval Forest, Hemlock Forest and Cuifeng Lake Mountain Trail. I took the Jianqing Nostalgia Trail this time, hiking along the original railway track, and it seemed that I could hear the sound of wood transportation in the past. The density and tranquility of the forest healed my body and mind. 🌫 Sunrise over the sea of ​​clouds and lakes in the mountains Early in the morning, we came to the Jianqing platform to see the sea of ​​clouds. The white clouds were stacked layer by layer, like a fairyland. In the afternoon, we went to Cuifeng Lake. This alpine lake at an altitude of 1,840m is known as the largest in Taiwan! The scenery of the lake and mountains changes with the fog. Walking on the lakeside mountain trail is like walking on the canvas of nature  . ♨ Jiuzhize Hot Spring Don't rush to leave after walking the trail. Jiuzhize Hot Spring is right next to the entrance down the mountain. It is the perfect ending after a forest walk. The spring water contains carbonic acid. After soaking in it, you will relax your whole body and don't want to go home. You can also cook a hot spring egg by yourself, which will double the healing . ❤️Beautiful in all seasons In spring, there are azaleas and cherry blossoms. It is a must-visit in summer to escape the heat. In autumn, there are maple leaves, and in winter, there are snow, sea of ​​clouds, and morning fog. The entire park is worth visiting once in every season . 📌 Useful information reminder 👉🏻Ticket price is NT$150, same on weekdays and holidays. 👉🏻Opening hours are approximately 06:00–20:00, and you can enter early in the morning on holidays. 👉🏻Transportation: Drive from National Highway 5 and transfer to Taiwan Highway 7; take the bus from Luodong/Yilan to Kuo-Kuang Bus 1750 to "Taipingshan Station". 👉🏻There are various hiking routes, and parents, elders, and those who love to walk can choose the route freely. 👉🏻Tickets for the B-bike need to be queued on site.
