Songluo Trail - Yulan Tea Plantation

Trail Length: Approximately 2 kilometers. It takes about 1 hour one way and around 2 hours for a round trip. The elevation ranges from 280 to 400 meters, with a height difference of about 120 meters, making it a beginner-friendly hiking route. 🌿 • Trail Conditions and Scenery: Originally an ancient Atayal hunting path, the trail is now shaded by dense forest and accompanied by streams. It is rich in wetland plants such as mountain palms, camphor trees, and fern tunnels. You may occasionally spot butterflies, dragonflies, and Taiwan fish swimming in the water, giving the impression of being in the Amazon rainforest. 🦋🐟 • Facilities: The trail is paved with natural materials and features a few signposts and ground-level rest areas. However, there are no restrooms along the way. The distance from the parking lot to the trailhead is about 1.8 kilometers, so plan your supplies accordingly. 🚶‍♂️ Location: Situated in Songluo Village, Datong Township, Yilan (No. 80, Yulan Road). It is part of the Yulan Leisure Agricultural Area. 📍 • Tea Plantation Size: Approximately 500 hectares. The main tea varieties grown are Qingxin Oolong and Qingxin Damao.
