Yufuin, a charming small town

Yufuin is a small town in the Kyushu region of Japan. You can travel there by train from Hakata Station. There is also a special train called Yufuin no Mori that operates three trips a day, taking about 2 hours. This special train may require advance reservations. On the train, there are services selling food, drinks, and souvenirs, and the seats are very comfortable. Once you arrive in Yufuin, you can start exploring right away. The atmosphere is incredibly charming. The village has small walkways with shops on both sides. It's not too crowded, and there are plenty of photo spots. During festivals, the decorations might follow a theme. When we visited, there were even Japanese couples taking pre-wedding photos. Spending a day trip here is enough. If you haven't been here yet, it's a place we highly recommend.
