Pingshanhu Grand Canyon In-Depth Tour vs. Regular Tour

📢 Today, I’ll focus on the two tour routes of Pingshanhu Grand Canyon. ⚠️ The main difference between the two routes is how you descend to the canyon bottom. The regular tour involves walking down, while the in-depth tour includes riding an off-road vehicle + camel riding + camel cart to descend. 🇨🇳 Regular Tour ① Scenic Area Entrance → Viewing Platform: Take a bus for 20 minutes to Viewing Platform No. 1 (Jiulong Huihai) to overlook the earth folds (best window seat on the right side of the bus). Then hike to Viewing Platform No. 2 (Lover’s Peak) and No. 3 (General’s Rock, Divine Turtle Asking for Longevity). ⚠️ Friendly reminder: Lover’s Peak requires stairs both ways, and the scenery is similar, so you can skip it to save energy! ② Descend to the Canyon Bottom After visiting the viewing platforms, walk 10 minutes to the canyon entrance, then gradually descend along the plank road to the canyon bottom. This route is all downhill stairs and relatively easy on energy. However, if you have knee problems, it’s recommended to choose the vehicle route to avoid knee strain! The canyon bottom is also a highlight for sightseeing and photography. ③ Choose one of three hiking routes at the canyon bottom (for hiking adventure lovers, choose Route 1; for canyon scenery, choose Route 3): ✅ Route 1 (One Line Sky): The narrow crack is very tight, only allowing one person to pass sideways (those with larger builds or big backpacks should be cautious!). It’s physically demanding, and once you enter, there’s no turning back—you must finish climbing. At the end of One Line Sky, you’ll climb the stairs shown in picture 11. After One Line Sky, follow the signs to the spot in picture 12, then take the right path to reach the Lingzhi Valley gate. From here, you must climb over 300 spiral stairs to exit the canyon. After exiting, you’ll reach Viewing Platform No. 4, where the bus is waiting. Taking the bus out of the scenic area ends the trip. ✅ Route 2 (Hundred Steps Gorge Line): This route is relatively gentle with many stairs but ordinary scenery and easy to get lost. Not recommended. ✅ Route 3 (Lingzhi Valley): I think this route offers the best scenery and photo opportunities, with jagged rocks (Lingzhi Stone/Fairy Stone) and a magnificent U-shaped canyon. You can walk leisurely, enjoy the views, and take photos without feeling tired. However, you still need to climb over 300 spiral stairs to exit the canyon, which is a bit strenuous. The spiral stair exit leads directly to Viewing Platform No. 4! 🇨🇳 In-Depth Tour Route ① The first half is the same as the regular tour: bus to Viewing Platforms 1-3 for sightseeing. ② In-depth tour highlights (experience different transportation modes): ✅ First, take the adventure vehicle: from Viewing Platform No. 1 to the canyon depths (fast and a bit bumpy). ✅ Then get off at the camel station and switch to camel riding (riders must be at least 1.5 meters tall to ride alone; children must ride with an adult). Photo tip: Choose the first or last camel for scenic shots; the park charges ¥20 per photo. ✅ After camel riding, walk a bit to take the camel cart. After getting off the camel cart, walk a few minutes to a fork with a signpost. Left leads to One Line Sky, right leads to Lingzhi Valley. ③ Choose one of two hiking routes at the canyon bottom: Lingzhi Valley (recommended): The path is full of canyon scenery and better than One Line Sky! Walking leisurely for about 40 minutes is enough to finish the tour, then climb the spiral stairs to exit the canyon! ⚠️ If elderly or children have limited stamina, you can choose the reverse in-depth tour: first hike down to the canyon bottom, then ride the camel cart and camel, and take the off-road vehicle back to Viewing Platform No. 4. The downside is you won’t reach One Line Sky or Lingzhi Valley!
