Zimaling Park

I finished a big project this morning so I took the afternoon off and visited Zimaling Park, 紫马岭公园 , in Zhongshan. A highlight for flower lovers and photographers alike is probably the rose garden, which is just inside the south gate on Bo'Ai Rd, 博爱路, and features dozens of varieties of roses. There are also several large grassy fields where people sit out or have a picnic, each surrounded by flower gardens or shaded by different kinds of trees. It was truly refreshing to wander around and take photos after being stuck at my desk for so long. Zimaling gets quite busy on the weekends, but if you can go during normal business hours you'll enjoy open space and tranquility. Where: Zimaling Park, Zhongshan, Guangdong Cost: Free Getting there: There are gates on the north and south. The south side has parking but it gets very crowded weekends. There's lots of bike/motorbike parking. Leaving the Sun Yat-sen Museum, I was drawn to this cafe I passed by. It's two stories high, with a rooftop. The cafe is renovated from an old building, and the entire structure is dedicated to it. The ambiance is quiet and comfortable, with a high ceiling on the second floor, allowing sunlight and a gentle breeze to stream in through two windows. Enjoying a cup of coffee here ☕️ and gazing at the greenery outside the window 🌿 is a wonderful break from the journey. Downstairs, there are also a number of cultural and creative items and postcards for sale.
