Louisiana Museum of Art, Denmark
Louisiana Museum of Modern Art in Denmark.
I like modern art museums, so this is one of the museums I wanted to visit, and it's also one of my favorites.
You can get there by train from Copenhagen, Denmark.
The museum has a large garden and is integrated with nature, and the restaurant is also popular.
The sea is also nearby, so you can enjoy a cafe while looking at the sea, garden, and objects.

Stunning! Healing Art Exhibition by the Sea 🫥
In June, Denmark experiences sunsets at 10 PM. I took a train to visit the legendary most beautiful seaside art museum! Though I may not fully grasp the inner struggles and pains of the artists, works that stir your emotions are undoubtedly powerful art. Nordic art and design have always conveyed profound meanings through minimalist forms, and I deeply felt that in this museum. Perhaps its seaside location symbolizes "letting go"—art is a form of release, and so is the sea. It helps you forget worries and brings to mind the saying: "Facing the sea, with spring blossoms."
The name Louisiana Museum of Modern Art originates from its predecessor, a country villa built in 1855. The villa's owner, Alexander Brun, married three wives in his lifetime, all named Louise. Brun named the estate "Louisiana" to commemorate this unique bond with his three wives, hence the museum's name. When founder Knud W. Jensen acquired the villa and surrounding land, he decided to name the museum after its historical title, reflecting Danish culture's respect for history and family.

🇩🇰 Denmark's Louisiana Museum of Modern Art: A Baltic Gem!
#summervacay
Oh my goodness, the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art, built right by the Baltic Sea, is an absolute dream! 🌊 It truly blends seamlessly with nature – every single ray of light seems to hit just perfectly, creating the most beautiful atmosphere. ✨ I honestly wouldn't mind "wasting" an entire day here; it's that captivating! 🥰
Getting there is super easy too! You can hop on a train from Copenhagen (Copenhagen Central Station) and be there in just about 40 minutes. Once you get off, it's a really short walk. You can grab your tickets right at the entrance. So worth the trip! 🚂🚶♀️

Copenhagen 101: What Every Traveler Should Know 🇩🇰🚲
🇩🇰 Things to Know Before Visiting Copenhagen
1. Card is King 💳
Copenhagen is nearly cashless. Credit/debit cards are accepted everywhere—even for a coffee. No need to exchange large amounts of Danish kroner.
2. Biking is a Way of Life 🚲
Locals love cycling, and the city is built for it. Rent a bike to explore like a Dane, but learn basic biking etiquette—stay in bike lanes, signal, and don’t stop suddenly.
3. It’s Not Cheap 💸
Copenhagen is expensive, especially dining out. Budget wisely and consider bakeries, street food (like Reffen), or supermarkets like Netto for lighter meals.
4. Tap Water is Super Clean 💧
No need to buy bottled water—just fill your reusable bottle from the tap. It’s safe and environmentally friendly.
5. Weekends Start Early 📆
Shops often close early, especially on Sundays. Plan shopping or museum visits for weekdays or Saturday mornings.
6. Embrace Hygge 🕯️
Copenhagen is the perfect place to experience hygge, the Danish concept of coziness. Think candlelit cafés, warm drinks, and slow moments.
7. Learn a Few Words 🇩🇰
Most Danes speak excellent English, but a friendly “hej” (hi) or “tak” (thank you) goes a long way.
8. Weather Can Be Moody 🌦️
Even in summer, weather changes quickly. Always pack a jacket (or two) and check the forecast before heading out.
9. Tipping Isn’t Required 💁♀️
Service charges are included in bills. You can round up or leave small tips if you want, but it’s not expected.
10. Explore Beyond the City 🌊
If you have time, take a short trip to Louisiana Museum of Modern Art, Roskilde, or Dragør for a quiet village escape.

All those who want to enjoy both art and nature, gather here! ✨The Louisiana Museum of Contemporary Art in Denmark is a spectacular museum that is also known as the **most beautiful contemporary art museum in the world**!
About 45 minutes by train from Copenhagen, this museum is located on a hill overlooking the sea, and it feels like you've wandered into the world of Ghibli...!
The museum is filled with light from the large glass windows, and the 🌿greenery and 🌊sea look like they are part of the artwork. The exhibits are works by famous artists such as Yayoi Kusama 🎨, Calder 🌀, and Giacometti 🖼️. But it's not a stiff "art space", but rather has an irresistible "come relax and take a look" atmosphere...!
The sculpture garden is especially great! ✨Colorful objects and abstract sculptures are placed on the grass, so you can enjoy art in a picnic mood! 🍃And beyond that is the emerald-colored ocean…!
It feels like the Earth is a canvas! 🌍
Plus, the ocean view from the cafe is divine…! ☕️🫖Having a leisurely lunch while looking at the ocean is so stylish it makes you sigh…! There are so many spots that you'll want to take photos, so be careful of your smartphone's storage capacity (lol) 📱💥

5 days solo in Copenhagen.
Really enjoyed my solo trip to Copenhagen, pretty straight forward transport system. Attractions are all super close to each other and food was pretty good. Highly recommend Copenhagen contemporary art for their immersive exhibition, Bulgar chicken bowl from the running chicken (10/10) and many good pastries about try different ones every day! #travel #solotrip #citybreak #thingstodo

Copenhagen, Denmark🇩🇰 The most beautiful Louisiana Museum of Modern Art in the world2
✨Louisiana Museum of Modern Art✨
I visited in April last year, but it was wintery because it's Northern Europe🥶🥶 And there are many cases where the branches on the trees are bare, so if you want to see the green Denmark, I recommend visiting after May:)
I wondered how pretty the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art is because it's the most beautiful art museum in the world, but it was really, really pretty even when I went in April🩵🩵
There's an exhibition room with large windows, and when I looked out at the scenery there, I thought I understood why Europeans paint landscapes! It was a moment when I was so envious of Europeans living in such places 🥺🥺
✔️Opening hours: Tue-Fri 11:00 AM-10:00 PM
Sat-Sun 11:00 AM-6:00 PM (Closed on Mondays)
✔️Location: Gl Strandvej 13, 3050 Humlebæk, Denmark
✔️Tips
1. There are exhibitions that change periodically, but there are always works, so I recommend you see Andy Warhol's works and Yayoi Kusama's works! By the way, if there's a long line, it's Yayoi Kusama's works :)
2. There's a glass path, and you can go to the opposite side of the statue where you can see the ocean. If you go down, there's a bamboo forest and a wonderful view, so be sure to go down✨
3. You can also go to the places you can see from the large window, and it's connected to the ocean, so if you have time, I recommend taking a walk!

Denmark | The must visit museum with the good vibe
Louisiana Museum of Modern Art
Gl Strandvej 13, 3050 Humlebæk, Denmark
Before heading to Copenhagen, all my friends highly recommended that I visit the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art. It’s easily accessible from Copenhagen Central Station using the Copenhagen Card; the train ride takes about half an hour.
The museum is beautifully located by the water, with an exceptional spatial design. There are numerous contemporary art exhibits, and I especially loved the garden artworks that resemble galaxies, making you feel like you're experiencing global art from the universe.
After exploring the exhibitions, it's a great choice to relax in the restaurant, enjoying the sunshine and beautiful views!

Denmark Travel | A museum by the sea.
The Louisiana Museum of Modern Art is located on the shores of the Øresund Strait, 35 kilometers north of Fredensborg, Copenhagen, Denmark. The entrance is a very ordinary private villa. Once you enter, you will find a different world.
This is a pilgrimage site for Danish art, known as the "most beautiful museum in Denmark". Danes often say that walking into the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art is like stepping into the back garden of Sleeping Beauty's castle.
The museum cleverly combines the terrain with the surrounding natural environment, and the artworks are perfectly integrated into the natural scenery. The flowers, plants, and trees you see here seem to be artworks, as if you are in a "paradise", every minute is enjoyment.
The museum has been expanded 7 times since it was built in 1958. The architecture of the museum retains the original rural style, with the villa as the main body of the museum, and its sides are extended, like open arms, embracing a huge garden. The garden is full of flowers and shrubs, and the green grass slopes elegantly towards the sea.

Louisiana - art and nature together!
This museum itself is a piece of art!
Surrounded by nature you will find this art museum, located on the shore of the Øresund Sound and 45 minutes by train from København Central station, at a small city called Humlebæk.
There you can find an extensive collection of modern and contemporary art. On the outside, the seashore’s views and the sculptures creates this Ghibli-alike atmosphere which makes you feel connected with the world.
The museum is also acknowledged as a milestone in modern Danish architecture, and is noted for its synthesis of art, architecture, and landscape.
Price: around 140 dkk per person
Hope you enjoy it! It’s really worth visiting 😊

Louisiana, a long-awaited destination 〰️🩶🫧🩶
The Louisiana Museum of Art, which I've always wanted to visit since I was in school 🎨
This could be considered the highlight of my trip to Denmark 🫧
It takes about an hour by train from downtown, but it's a place you'll never regret going to.. 🩶
There are a lot of tourists when you go, but there are also a lot of Danes. I was secretly jealous because I can have such a great space and artwork nearby and come see it anytime! 🥨

The most beautiful art museum in the world
The Louisiana Museum of Fine Arts is said to be the most beautiful art museum in the world.
As its name suggests, everything was wonderful - beautiful architecture, abundant nature, wonderful paintings, and lots of souvenirs.
Everything was wonderful, from the greenery visible from the building to the light shining in, so it's a place you should definitely visit if you come to Denmark.
There are places to eat and you can have a picnic outside. I recommend giving yourself plenty of time to relax.
It's a place I'd like to go back to.

An art museum that you can enjoy even if you don't know anything about art
When you think of Copenhagen, Denmark, you probably think of the famous Louisiana Museum of Art.
I went there because I could visit it with the Copenhagen Pass!
Even though I don't know much about art, I enjoyed it comfortably because there were various parks outside as well as art pieces.

The most beautiful museum in the world, Louisiana
#ArtGallery
Their collections and special exhibitions are always wonderful, and the shop is not just a gift shop, but you can buy wonderful Scandinavian goods and art. Their collection includes many famous artists such as Yayoi Kusama and Henry Moore, and the grounds and views are also great, so even someone like me who is not very knowledgeable about art can enjoy it.
There are a lot of people, but the grounds are vast so you don't feel cramped. You can also have a picnic.
It's about 40 minutes by train from Copenhagen, and less than 10 minutes on foot from the nearest station, Humlebaek. The admission ticket is expensive, but it's worth it.

Louisiana Museum of Modern Art
This is a wonderful art museum that is in harmony with the world-famous nature. Everything that expresses the space, including the artworks and furniture on display, is beautiful and sophisticated. There is a cafe inside the museum, and even the sea that can be seen from there looks like art. The exhibits range from Picasso to modern art, so you can enjoy it even if you stay for a whole day. The exhibits change for a limited time, so it's a good idea to check before you go. The location is a little far from Copenhagen, so we recommend taking a taxi. Depending on the route you take, you can see a gas station designed by Jacobsen. #RecommendedSpotsInCopenhagen

It is a restaurant and cafe inside the Louisiana Museum of Art. The prices are a bit expensive, but the food and drinks are pretty good. There are no restaurants near the Louisiana Museum of Art, so it is a good place to fill your stomach.
