I visited Jeju Island during the Qingming Festival holiday in April. The temperature was around 14°C, which was cool and comfortable overall. However, the coastal areas were quite windy and chilly, so I strongly recommend bringing a hat to keep warm. The cherry blossoms were nearing their end, so if you want to see both cherry blossoms and canola flowers, it's better to visit in late March. Among the places I visited, I highly recommend Gasi-ri, especially for those driving. The scenery along the way is stunning. Udo Island is also worth a visit. On sunny days, the breathtaking views are truly therapeutic, and you can enjoy speedboat rides and delicious food there. Ecoland in Jeju is a picturesque and family-friendly destination where visitors can enjoy train rides through various themed stations, including flower gardens and beautiful lakes. We had a ton of fun in Ecoland, probably one of the places where we took a lot of pictures. The place was so refreshing, with minimal buildings and facilities.

Beautiful natural park and museum. We only spent 2-3 hours there but it needs 4-5 hrs to be fair. There is a lot of paths for trailing and unique spots for taking scenic shots. The museum is also great for kids to explore geographical backgrounds of Jeju islands and Korea. It is good to eat something as the cafes have great coffees but not a wide seletion of snacks or food.

Beautiful cafe with great vibes and fantastic service. Plenty of seating inside the main area and secondary area outside. The drinks and desserts were delicious.

When you go up to the new 2nd floor, there are several tables where 2-3 people can sit, and the soft sofas make it comfortable to stay for a long time. Absolutely stunning! We were there in september and loved it! We went up Seongpanak trail, and down via Gwaneumsa. For at total of around 20km. We were unsure about how hard the trail would be, but it was really ok for two young people like us. We also saw a lot of elderly and kids. So it’s doable for most people. Gwaneumsa was quite a bit tougher, and you should be in good shape if you want to take it up. Remember to book! We recommend going before 8am, so that you don’t need to worry about making it up before the deadlines. And also have time to enjoy the top view!

This is one of the best hotels I've ever stayed that! The value for the money is truly unmatched. Our room was gorgeous, I was stunned when we opened the door. It was extremely spacious with the best views of Jeju City one could ask for. We loved the shower, it was perfect water temp. The pool and amenities were amazing, we took so many photos of the sunset up there. The beds were comfortable. The room got nice and cool with the AC. Even the toilet was heated! We would come back to Jeju just to stay at this hotel, it was an amazing experience and we felt like true luxury.

I just got back from Jeju Island and want to share my honest thoughts with everyone. It was my first time traveling abroad, and I thought I had done enough research, but I still fell into many traps and was so tired that I had to lie down for two days after returning home to recover… I'm sharing my hard-earned experiences, so be sure to read this if you're planning to go! 📅 Itinerary log - Day 1: Got up at 4am to catch the plane, so sleepy I could barely open my eyes. Went straight to Hamdeok Beach and Woljeongri after dropping off my luggage in Jeju Island. Although it was raining, the misty seaside was quite atmospheric. In the evening, I strolled around Shilla Duty Free and Baojian Road, my legs were about to break, and I went back to the hotel to crash at 10pm. - Day 2: Chartered a car to Seopjikoji, the scenery was indeed beautiful! But Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak was just so-so, and the seafood wasn't tasty either. The most annoying thing was that when we went to Udo Island, the driver said he wouldn't go with us, so we had to rent bicycles ourselves, and we were really pressed for time. But the speedboat ride was quite exciting, which was the only consolation. - Day 3: Strolled around Chilseongro, which was similar to Baojian Road, nothing special. In the afternoon, I took some nice photos in Aewol, but because of lack of time, I didn't get to Hyeopjae Beach and Windmill Coast. If I had known that taking a taxi and splitting the fare wasn't expensive, I should have just taken a taxi! - Day 4: Rushed to catch the plane early in the morning, and it was already 3pm when I got home, I was completely exhausted… 💣 Big traps I fell into 1. Luggage tearjerker: Spring Airlines doesn't allow 20-inch suitcases as carry-on luggage! I saw on a third-party platform that it was allowed, but I had to pay extra for checked baggage on the spot, which cost me an extra three or four hundred RMB for the round trip, so painful! 2. The itinerary was too rushed: I was walking non-stop every day for four days, so tired that I doubted my life. You should set aside at least five days, and it's more appropriate to charter a car to play on the west side on the third day. 3. Transportation blunder: When going to Udo Island, be sure to find a driver who can take the car onto the island! Or just take a taxi and split the fare, don't rent a car yourself like we did, it's tiring and time-consuming. 4. Meaningless attractions: There's really no need to go to Chilseongro and Dongmun Market, and Korean food isn't as delicious as I imagined. I didn't go to the south side this time, and I heard it's so-so, but I want to try it again next time. 5. Accommodation suggestions: Although it's more expensive to stay by the sea, it's convenient to go to the attractions. Although it's far from the city center, it's enough to go to the airport and shopping once, so it's still worth the experience. 6. Bus blunder: Be sure to check the GPS when taking the bus! I asked the locals for directions, but I still took the bus in the wrong direction for one stop, so embarrassing… A little consolation I earned a few hundred RMB by buying things for my friends, which made up for some of the losses. Stay at the Gloucester Hotel in the city center (nice environment~) 🚌 Bus: Hotel → Hamdeok Beach (bus, approx. 40 minutes, KRW 2,200, can pay with Alipay!!!) 📸 Hamdeok Beach: The famous Haenyeo Rice Wrap is here. We ordered lobster rice wrap + seafood noodles + orange juice + fried squid rings (delicious and great for photos). There is a long boardwalk next to the beach where you can take a leisurely stroll. 📸 Little Dog Cafe + Bagel Museum: About 4 km from Hamdeok, easily accessible by taxi or bus~ A great place for taking photos! 📸 Baojian Road Pedestrian Street: Yili Chicken Feet/Grilled Black Pork/Potato Rib Soup/BHC Fried Chicken are all here~ Choose one according to your preference! There are also many gift shops + Olive Young to explore. Be sure to use the zebra crossing! 📅 Day 2: Udo Island + Seopjikoji + Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak + Woljeongri Beach + Chilseongro Shopping Street 🌟 Highly recommended: Transportation on Jeju Island is generally inconvenient, so you can choose to charter a car. It is really the best choice for visiting the east side~ 📸 Jeju Island Aquarium: Udo Island ferry was suspended due to rain that day~ So we went directly to the aquarium, which is a filming location for "Queen of Tears." It feels like falling into a blue dream 🩵 (Next time, I plan to take the bus to Udo Island for a more leisurely trip). 📸 Seopjikoji: I really like the black reefs here. The sea is deep, the boardwalk is long, and the lighthouse stands tall. It feels like coming to the end of the world, as beautiful as a painting ☁ 📸 Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak: The left side of the mountain trail is free. There is also a Haenyeo performance at 2pm, don't miss it~ 📸 Woljeongri Beach: This is my favorite jelly sea! It's unbelievably clear. The cafe [mon moon] is also here. This dreamy cafe next to Hyeopjae Beach is definitely a paradise for those who love taking photos! There is a hammock on the third floor of the cafe, which is a must-have for internet beauties. There is a swing on the second floor, and a gentle swing feels like flying into a fairy tale book. There are fewer people going there at noon, so you can take beautiful photos without queuing. It's really healing! The drinks are affordable. I ordered two cups for only 15,000 won. I drank coffee while looking at the sea, and felt extremely happy.
