The Lujiang Southern Sichuan-Tibet Line, completed in 2023, is still relatively unknown, meaning no traffic jams and an excellent experience! Stretching 120 kilometers, it passes through four towns—Fanshan, Longqiao, Luohe, and Nihe—and 14 villages. Starting from downtown Hefei, even electric cars can make a round trip in a day without worrying about range! The Lujiang Southern Sichuan-Tibet Line rivals the Anhui Southern Sichuan-Tibet Line!!! We started from downtown Hefei, entered via Nihe, and exited at Fushan. First, navigate to the [Western Entrance of the Lujiang Southern Sichuan-Tibet Line] to begin your 'Hefei Akina Mountain Run.' First Stop: Shuangding Mountain Six Curves, as shown in photos 1–5. Second Stop: Fanshan Town. When we visited, the road leading to Fanshan Town Government (and all subsequent destinations) was blocked due to construction. Workers suggested passing through the village, but we couldn't locate the Fanshan Mine ruins. Third Stop: Huangtun Old Street. Huangtun Old Street seems to belong to a relatively large town with supermarkets, milk tea shops, and small restaurants. However, we didn't find the old street with bluestone pavements. Fourth Stop: Zhaiji Mountain, as shown in photos 6–10. A must-visit! The essence of the Lujiang Southern Sichuan-Tibet Line lies here, with its winding 'Nine Turns of Life.' You can park at the eighth turn and walk up the mountain. The steps are few, making it easy for both the elderly and children! At the summit, there's a national flag 🇨🇳, perfect for photo ops! Fifth Stop: Huangshan Village. This natural highland remains largely undeveloped, ideal for hiking and off-road enthusiasts! There's also Huangshan Village rafting and small streams nearby for water activities, along with a children's playground—great for kids to have fun! Sixth Stop: Qingshan Lake Reservoir. As an ecological water source protection base, it offers camping and cycling opportunities. With vast areas of water cypress, autumn here is bound to be stunning! The reservoir is near the Fushan exit of the Jing-Tai Expressway. If you have extra time, you can visit nearby Hefei Ateler by navigating to 'Hudong Reservoir.' Late March and early April is a great time to go to the countryside to enjoy the spring scenery, appreciate the rapeseed flowers, and soak in hot springs. Unexpectedly, my first try led me to the top-notch hot spring family hotel (Lujiang Nanshan Junning Luxury Hot Spring Resort Hotel). 1. Transportation: It takes 1 hour to drive from Hefei city via the Beijing-Taipei Expressway to reach the hotel. The hotel has high privacy, with tea gardens, camping sites, and ample parking spaces, as well as independent charging piles. There is also a battery swap station nearby, making it an excellent choice for electric car self-driving tours. 2. Rooms: The hotel has approximately less than 20 rooms, with an average room price of 2,500+. Each room has its own private hot spring, as well as a public pool. Soaking in it, you can feel the plankton derived from the hot spring, which is indeed a genuine hot spring. At the same time, there is a crescent-shaped infinity pool at the top of the hotel, surrounded by mountains on three sides. We prepared to drive along the Lu'nan Sichuan-Tibet Line the next day. We arrived in Lujiang that night and stayed at the Xidi Alanruo B&B, which is the only B&B in the resort. Staying here for a night allows you to get close to the pristine nature and experience the unique rural customs. 🅿️The parking lot is right at the door of the B&B. The luggage is not easy to carry on the gravel road. You can call the concierge to pick it up after arriving. I booked a room with a view, which has a lot of space and all the amenities are of luxury B&B standard. The room also has some 😄 surprise gifts: fruit desserts, mini bar, afternoon tea 🍰, small train 🚂 (if the weather is good, it is quite photogenic), and a visit to the Ding Ruchang Memorial Hall.
