A complete guide to the best restaurants in Manchester, England, with reviews!
📍Rudy's Pizza - Ancoats
Rudy's #pizza is so delicious that I think I was completely focused on eating it as soon as it arrived..! Thin crust, tomato sauce, lots of mozzarella, and tons of toppings. From that day on, I learned how to finish a whole pizza. ^^ I usually stick to #margherita, but here, I found myself ordering #portobello for some reason.🤔
Maybe it's because it's so popular, but they opened a second location in the city center. I tried it and it wasn't that great...? The #Ancoats location is a bit far, but the neighborhood atmosphere is great, and the taste is incomparable!! If you're going to try it, I recommend going somewhere more delicious :)
📍Yuzu Japanese Tapas
Yuzu is the Japanese word for yuzu, and since it's also called #yuzu in English, I think it's pronounced the same way!
This teriyaki #salmondong was perfect for my taste buds. 🤍 The simple ingredients made me think I could replicate it at home, but I'm still just thinking about it... Haha
I always go for lunch and it's a little cheaper than other times. I think it was £8? They only accept credit cards for purchases over £10, so if you're dining alone, make sure to bring cash!
📍Pho
#Pho is a chain restaurant with branches in major cities in the UK, so you can find it in London too!
I tend to stick to one dish once I get a craving, unless I'm curious about other dishes👀? My go-to dish at this restaurant is the Steak with Garlic Pho! Personally, I think it suits my taste better than Korean pho 🤔 I don't prefer thin, juicy beef, so I usually leave the meat behind. But here, the meat is thick and the garlic flavor cuts through the greasiness, making it really delicious.
However, the second time I went, it wasn't as good as the first time... I guess the taste really depends on who's cooking it. So far, #WimbledonPho has been the best. It's always the same. (I was recommending a #restaurant in Manchester, but now I'm recommending the London branch. 😅)
📍Tai Wu Chinese Restaurant
Tai Wu is near the University of Manchester, so it's a bit far from the city center, but it's worth the trip. They have a variety of #dim sum, including #har gow and #xiao long bao. It was here that I first encountered #custard buns and fell in love with them. Haha, so I often order them as #dessert at other dim sum restaurants. The #dandan noodles here are Chinese-style, so they're different from the ones we're used to with a lot of peanut sauce, but they still tasted good!
📍Mackie Mayor
This is a food court, so there are a variety of restaurants. A Thai friend recommended the Pad Thai here, so I ordered it and was very satisfied! (In fact, you can't go wrong with any Thai restaurant in Manchester, haha - #PadThaiOnly😝) Perhaps it's the fun atmosphere and atmosphere of the space that makes this place so popular that it's hard to find an empty seat on Friday nights :)
