I was looking to get away from the hot summer and reconnect with nature and I found it in Hungshan. The incredible view at the summit of the Hungshan Yellow Mountains was magnificent, breathtaking. 🏖️BAmbiance/Facilities: Amazing facilities, comfortable for all ages. Our stay in the Shandishan B&B was outstanding. this place is 9 min away from Hungshan Town and is next to a beautiful river with clear, emerald water. The owner and staff are kind and offer excellent service. My family and kids enjoy our stay here!

Huangshan’s scenery is absolutely stunning! The iconic pine trees, unique rock formations, sea of clouds, and sunrise views are truly unforgettable. Standing atop the mountain and witnessing the rolling clouds feels like being in a fairyland – a must-visit destination! Spend a night or two on the mountain hotel is the best way to see the sunrise and the sunset. Weather is unpredictable and changes quickly. Unfortunately, I didn’t get to see the sea of clouds this time. It only occurs during winter. I definitely will come back for the extraordinary sea of clouds. Hotels on the mountain top are more expensive than the hotels at the Tangkouzhen town. It is best to book in advance. Hiking in Huangshan is a bit difficult than the other places like Zhangjiajie. Since I am an amateur hiker so I took my time and just hiked in my own pace. #discoverchina Woke up super early, hiked through the freezing cold 🥶, and made it to the top of Lotus Peak (1864.8m) at Huangshan just in time for sunrise ☀️. The view? Unreal. Golden light pouring over endless mountain peaks, crisp fresh air, and that peaceful silence you only find above the clouds ☁️. Even with my mask, sunglasses, and frozen fingers 🧤, it felt like magic. It was one of those “I can’t believe I’m here” moments and absolutely worth every step! If you’re in China, this is a must. Would I do it again? My personally opinion, Mount Huangshan is a must visit destination comparing it favorably to other famous mountains in China. ⏩ Here are some of my hiking experience and challenges, 🌿 Joins a private guided tour, it will helps you to navigate routes and maximize sightseeing, 🌿 Trail Difficulty: Many paths involve steep stairs and narrow sections, particularly in West Sea Grand Canyon & Celestial Capital Peak. 🌿 Best times to hike: Spring(March - May) and Autumn(September - November). These seasons relatively ideal for comfortable temperatures (10 - 25°C / 50 - 77°F) and fewer crowds. Especially in Spring, its offers beautiful blooming flowers, while Autumn features flamboyant foliage. 🌿 Weather variability: Fog & rain can obscure views, but they also create dramatic cloudscapes. As a nature lover, Mount Huangshan is definitely my bucket-list hiking destination. While some physically demanding, its rewards with unparalleled scenery. Mount Huangshan, a natural wonder with spectacular vistas, just like a Chinese painting and giving me an unforgettable experience. 🕰️ The Mount Huangshan general opening hours is from 6:30 am - 4:30pm.
