It’s just a 10-minute drive away, and you can also take the subway, which is a 3-minute walk from the hotel, to reach the airport. This makes it an ideal hotel for your first or last night in Chicago before heading to the airport. Additionally, it takes about 40 minutes by subway to get to downtown Chicago, making it convenient for travelers without a rental car. I've already visited the Shanghai and Milan Starbucks Reserve Roasteries, and since those were such great experiences, I decided to visit the Chicago location as well. I was really looking forward to seeing what the Starbucks Reserve Roastery in the US, the birthplace of Starbucks coffee, would be like, and I was curious because it's the largest of the six worldwide. The first floor featured a coffee bar and various Starbucks merchandise. Collectors of Starbucks city cups and Roastery goods will enjoy browsing through the store. I don't collect them myself, so I headed straight to the second floor. I ordered the highly recommended Whiskey Barrel Aged Coffee and a breakfast croissant from the Chicago Starbucks Reserve Roastery. The croissant was, frankly, average, but the Whiskey Barrel Aged Coffee had incredible flavor. The subtle vanilla notes complemented the coffee perfectly, and I was pleasantly surprised by the clean aftertaste. This is a coffee I definitely want to try again next time I'm in Chicago. After breakfast with coffee and a croissant, I explored the Starbucks building. On the fourth floor, you can also order various coffee-infused cocktails. If you're traveling to Chicago, be sure to experience a special coffee experience at the iconic Starbucks Reserve Roastery.

Operated by the American clothing brand Polo Ralph Lauren, this café exudes the unique charm and aesthetic of Ralph Lauren. The lush green ambiance felt warm and inviting. We ordered a vanilla latte, cold brew, and a blueberry muffin, spending a total of $22. While the café doesn't have indoor seating, it offers an outdoor terrace where you can enjoy views of Fifth Avenue and the towering skyscrapers, making you truly feel the essence of New York. Watching the bustling crowds and the impressive skyline from the terrace was an experience in itself. True to American style, the café offers a variety of milk options for your latte. The cold brew was clean and refreshing, and the blueberry muffin was soft with a delightful burst of blueberry flavor—an absolute treat. Perhaps it was the combination of resting after intense shopping and the delicious food that made the experience even better. Even after a full dinner, I couldn't help but applaud the deliciousness! Magnolia Bakery has been featured frequently in popular American dramas set in New York, so I've always been curious about it. Magnolia Bakeries are located throughout New York City, so it's a good idea to visit one near you. I chose the banana pudding, and my friend chose the vanilla cheesecake. It was $11. Magnolia Bakery's signature banana pudding was delicious, not overly sweet, but full of the natural flavor of the banana, not overly sweetened by the syrup. The cheesecake was also fluffy and not too rich, perfect for my taste. We only tried two of Magnolia's famous cakes, including the Lev Velvet Cake and Chocolate Cake, and the cupcakes looked absolutely delicious. This is a bakery I've always wanted to visit while in New York. If you're traveling to New York and looking for a place that offers American-style desserts without being overly sweet, but where you can truly experience the natural flavors of the ingredients, I highly recommend Magnolia Bakery. 💙

🇺🇸 New York, USA 💙 OKDONGSIK New York I am currently traveling in New York with a friend, and I want to introduce OKDONGSIK New York, a Korean restaurant I was eager to try even before arriving in the city. It was the first place I made a reservation for. OKDONGSIK is famous among both tourists and New Yorkers for its pork bone soup and kimchi dumplings. Due to its popularity, reservations are a must. We visited on the first evening of our trip. We ordered one basic pork bone soup, one pork bone soup with extra meat, and kimchi dumplings, and the total came to $60, including tips. Considering New York's high prices, it felt like good value for money. OKDONGSIK was also selected as one of the best restaurants by The New York Times in 2023, so my expectations were high, and the food did not disappoint. Being from Busan, I am used to pork broth-based dishes like pork soup with a spicy seasoning paste. However, at OKDONGSIK, they recommended dipping the meat in a sauce called "gochuji." After trying it, I understood why. The broth was incredibly clear, with rice already mixed in, making it perfect for savoring the pure flavor of the soup. The thinly sliced pork was exceptionally tender. The kimchi dumplings were so delicious that I was amazed from the first bite. If you're in New York and want to enjoy clean and authentic Korean cuisine, I highly recommend OKDONGSIK!

We decided to visit Best Bagel & Coffee, a place renowned for its New York bagels. Among the many famous bagel spots in the city, this one is loved by both locals and tourists alike. We arrived around 9 AM, and there was already a crowd of customers. It took about 15 minutes to order and receive our bagels. While waiting in line, I was amazed by the variety of cream cheese options available—it was hard to choose! Thankfully, they had a best combo menu, which made the decision easier. We ordered a bacon, egg, and cheese bagel with an everything bagel base, as well as a salmon cream cheese bagel. The total came to $27. The bagels themselves were chewy and perfectly textured. Behind the counter, they were constantly boiling and baking fresh bagels, so it’s no wonder they tasted so good. The salmon in the salmon cream cheese bagel was incredibly fresh and paired perfectly with the cream cheese. If you enjoy warm bagels, the bacon, egg, and cheese option is also delicious.
