It's not an island, but can only be reached by boat. It's a relatively quiet beach, perfect for relaxing. You can take a longtail boat from Ao Nang, the same one that goes to Railay. The boatman will drop off passengers at Ao Ton Sai first. There are around three main resorts. We stayed at Tonsai Bay Resort. During my recent trip to Thailand, I joined a day trip to Phi Phi Islands from Krabi, and it turned out to be one of the most unforgettable experiences of my travels. After lunch, we had about an hour to relax on the beach, swim, or explore the small shops around. One of the highlights was hiking up to the Phi Phi Viewpoint. It was a bit of a climb in the heat, but the view of the twin bays and lush island landscape was worth every step. Before heading back, we stopped for some snorkeling near Bamboo Island.
