If possible, I would suggest the new parents to expose their kid with Lego and get them enjoy the real fun!

#malaysiatrip During my Malaysia trip, I had lunch at Loong Cafe located in 1 Utama Mall. This place is a Hong Kong-style cafe that delivers an authentic taste of Hong Kong with a hint of Malaysian flair. The first thing that caught my eye was the iconic red Hong Kong taxi displayed right at the entrance—such a unique and eye-catching feature! The cafe’s interior also had a nostalgic vibe, with vintage decor and elements that reminded me of classic Hong Kong streets. Their signature dishes include roasted duck, chicken, char siew, and siew yoke. I decided to try the roasted duck rice, which was flavorful with tender meat, and the siew yoke with fried rice. The crispy siew yoke paired perfectly with the aromatic fried rice. It felt like a delightful fusion of Hong Kong flavors and local Malaysian touches. #urbanwanderings Lovns Coffee in One Utama Shopping Mall will be my one of the best coffee spots in Petaling Jaya area! At first we were skeptical about the dark roast coffee mix (Thailand + Brazil), but little do we know, their Lovns milk come with a little hint of sweetness that blend well into the dark roast. They were the first r-PET Ice Insulated Coffee Cup in Malaysia, meaning they will serve you a cup of nice iced latte, but not putting ice into it, not diluting the amazing drinks until you finish it. Strongly recommend to try it out!

#urbanwanderings Came to One Utama Shopping Mall and got to know there is a new café opened not long ago, it is Coffee Meets Pastry by Zus, located at Ground Floor but facing the main road out there. It is also close to the famous Flow Rider spot where people get to play surfing on a artificial sea waves. This café looks modern minimalist where they do not put up a lot of decoration but every corner is well designed in a way that make customers feel cosy. There are also a couple huge croissant displayed as a photo taking spots. Recommended!

#malaysiatrip Personally love this place after we decided to try it out after we found it while walking in One Utama Shopping Mall. Overall experience is like 10 out of 10 as me and my husband found a new best place for our cup of wonderful coffee. If the taste of the coffee is all matter to you, this is for sure a place for you too as the ice is separated with the coffee in the cup and you dont have worry that the coffee will be diluted with melted ices!! Not to mention the croissant is surprisingly nice!! In term of price, it is a little bit too pricey for me at RM 25 for a cup of latte + croissant but…as long as the crave can be satiated, its all worthy!!

Perfect Ice is the perfect place to try one (if you haven’t yet already). 👍 The croffle is crispy, chewy, and has just the right sweetness to go with all the fantastic toppings they offer. I dropped by Starbucks 1 Utama for my usual afternoon coffee fix. As someone who frequently visits Starbucks Reserve outlets across Malaysia, I was excited to try a new single-origin bean. I’d been eyeing the Laos beans and was eager for the full Reserve experience – but what I got fell far short. Things started going downhill at the ordering counter. One barista told me the Laos beans were not available, but when I placed my order, another staff said they were. Confused but hopeful, I proceeded. What truly shocked me was at the brewing counter — the same barista who initially told me Laos wasn’t available went ahead to brew Indonesian beans without even informing me. When I stopped him to clarify, another barista stepped in and, to everyone’s surprise, found the Laos beans. This mishandling showed a severe lapse in professionalism and training. I had selected the siphon brew method to enjoy the craft experience. Sadly, that too was handled poorly. The barista poured in the grounds after the water had already risen, showing unfamiliarity with the proper process. There was no pre-brewing bean aroma introduction, a Reserve hallmark I’ve come to expect. When the coffee was finally served, it came without the signature blend card or chocolate. I had to ask for both, only to be handed a crumpled card and told the chocolate had run out. Despite all this, the coffee itself was still enjoyable — medium roast with subtle notes of coconut and ginger, aromatic and smooth. The ambiance inside the café was classic Starbucks — cozy and inviting. 📍 Review: Zhao Ji Dessert @ 1 Utama Zhao Ji Dessert is a nicely decorated Chinese dessert spot tucked inside 1 Utama, perfect for a post-lunch sweet treat. We stumbled upon it while strolling through the mall and were pleasantly surprised to find one of my all-time favourite desserts — black sesame paste — on the menu. We were seated quickly as the place wasn’t crowded. My missus ordered the mango pomelo, but she found it quite average — not bad, just nothing to shout about. As for my black sesame paste, the flavour was on point — thick, nutty, and aromatic. However, the texture was slightly off; it wasn’t as smooth as it should be. I suspect it might’ve been reheated without proper stirring, which led to some lumps forming.
