Stay in the Song-style Anji Huaye Qing Shang Rural B&B nestled halfway up the hill
The owner boldly chose an entire mountaintop as the location for the B&B, with picturesque rice fields and ponds at the foot of the mountain, while the summit is covered with lush tea gardens. The B&B is a four-story standalone building situated halfway up the hill.
Design
The courtyard of the B&B is not large, but it is exquisitely laid out, with rugged mountain cliffs on one side and simple earthen thatched cottages on the other. The main building is located in the center, like a spot of pure white amidst the verdant greenery.
Rooms
The B&B has a total of 9 guest rooms, each named after one of the twelve types of tea utensils from the Song Dynasty's famous work 'Praise of Tea Utensils', such as 'Bamboo Partition Dweller' and 'Mr. Harmony with Qin', etc. These names, which complement Anji's local tea culture, create an immersive vacation atmosphere.
Dining
The B&B provides guests with breakfast and complimentary afternoon tea. Dinner needs to be reserved in advance, featuring farm-fresh organic vegetables. All ingredients are seasonally fresh, such as local free-range chicken and eggs, Anji fresh bamboo shoots, etc., which are excellent choices.
Experience
Before nightfall, the housekeeper delivers goodnight desserts to the guest rooms, and upon checkout, guests are gifted with tea leaves and bamboo shoots as souvenirs. These thoughtful and meticulous services have received unanimous praise from guests.
Surroundings
The Northern Zhejiang Grand Canyon is about a 30-minute drive from the B&B. The scenic area is nestled between mountains and water, where visitors can enjoy the beauty of bamboo forests, mountain peaks, waterfalls, and streams while playing. The Shenxi Canyon Rafting, about a 20-minute drive away, is known as the 'mineral water roller coaster'. It offers a pristine canyon rafting experience suitable for all types of adventurers.
