#summervacay I debated whether to share this hotel, simply because it's such a well-kept secret! The atmosphere at Aonokotei Biwafront Hikone is incredibly relaxing, and I'd hate for it to get too crowded. I barely found any guides on Chinese social media platforms, and in reality, I only encountered one Western couple during my stay; all other guests were Japanese. The Hotel & Location Hotel: Aonokotei Biwafront Hikone (苍之湖邸 BIWAFRONT 彦根) Address: 1435-91 Matsubaracho, Hikone, Shiga, Japan Location: Situated on the eastern side of Lake Biwa, in Hikone City, Shiga Prefecture. This location offers serene lake views away from the major tourist hubs. Facilities Layout: The reception and restaurant are on the 1st floor, guest rooms are from the 2nd to 9th floors, and there's an executive lounge on the 10th floor. Public Onsen: The public hot springs are a highlight! The women's bath features two sections: one indoor and one semi-open air. The usual operating hours are 6 AM to 11 AM, and 3 PM to 12 AM. From April to November, it opens earlier at 5 AM. Even when I went around 6 AM, there were already a couple of groups enjoying the baths. Kuranoko Residence is a hotel that is very suitable for a family or a couple. We booked a private hot spring room tonight. The place is large and the facilities are complete and thoughtful. The 4K TV can watch YouTube. You can watch the sunset from the terrace in the room, but we chose to watch it from the lounge bar on the rooftop. The weather was clear and the sunset reflected in the lake was really beautiful. After soaking in the hot spring for a while, change into the yukata and jacket provided by the hotel, and go downstairs for dinner. Every dish is also very exquisite. It is nice to check in. There is buckwheat noodles in the lobby at 9 o'clock, or you can go to the lounge bar for drinks or coffee. Popcorn is provided. Breakfast is a buffet with plenty of choices. The hotel provides a shuttle bus to the hotel, please call to make an appointment in advance. The lake view from Hikone is more complete, but there are too many obstacles on the Ogoto Onsen side and it is not very beautiful. I really highly recommend this resort hotel standing on Lake Biwa! ! Great value for money! ️ 2 people for two days and one night in a large room + breakfast and dinner + private indoor outdoor hot spring + free executive lounge, just over 50,000 yen, 25,000 per person✴️ The breakfast is a Japanese and Western buffet, and the dinner is also Japanese and Western. The taste is ordinary, but the Omi beef cobblestone barbecue buffet is delicious hahaha! A whole pot of Omi rice is made into rice balls. If you can’t finish it, you can give it to customers to take away. (P5 is the sandwich my girlfriend made herself🥪hahaha) The executive lounge is open from 14:00-23:00 in the afternoon. If you go there in the afternoon, you will get desserts and less drinks. From 20:00 in the evening, red wine and whiskey will be added. From 21:00 in the evening, there will be free Japanese fried noodles for one hour, but we were too full to go there~ (p1 is the view of the executive lounge, it’s so beautiful that it makes you cry) This hotel was only opened 23 years ago, so it’s really new inside! and! Hotel check-out time is 11:00! In Japanese hotels where check-out is basically at 10 o'clock, the favorability is really up!
