This is a nice weekend escape from Beijing - around 2hr15 ride on the fast speed train. The library and church are actually part of the Aranya resort and is located on the beach front of the resort. You can chose to stay in the resort or can also stay outside and pay only to enter the library area . I stayed outside and payed an entrance fee. However I would really recommend booking a room and staying in Aranya. You can’t really swim in the sea but the resort seems to have its own pool, restaurant and even a livehouse. Also if are able to avoid the holiday periods - you can actually get some nice deals at Aranya. #chinatravel #wecreate #beijing

Aranya! The best place to visit while you’re in Qinhuangdao! Totally worth it! This “little town” has got everything inside! The beach, many western restaurants and bars, outdoor movie area, cinema, library, church etc! The architecture is very modern! I will definitely return during summer! The sea is really a romantic place. Whether it is a walk on the beach or the sunrise and sunset at the beach, it is fascinating. Here is the Lonely Library and the white Aranya Auditorium. It's really worthwhile to come to Aranya when the weather is good. Transportation: Take a train from Beijing to Changli or Beidaihe, and after getting off the train, take a taxi to Anaya Community. Or you can drive here directly. Accommodation: If you stay in a hotel or B&B in the Aranya community, you do not need to make separate reservations for the auditorium and library, you can enter directly for a visit. Eating: There are many community canteens and restaurants in Anaya. In the off-season, only the canteens are open, while in the peak season, all the restaurants are open.
