It’s true, food and drink cost a lot here, as does accommodation. But it is also possible to fly out and enjoy the city in just one day from the UK! I flew into Geneva just before 10am, and tried to see what I could fit into one day touring the city. I explored Jet D’Eau and was blown away by the sheer size and height of this fountain! I took a stroll around the serene surroundings of Parc La Grange, and its stunning centrepiece - Villa La Grange. Then, I fell in love with the charm of Old Town. Here, I took a look at the stunning Cathedrale Saint-Pierre and the oldest residential building in Geneva - a Building that dates back well over 700-years. I’m sure the architecture and beauty of Geneva will blow you away. What is more, exploring the city barely cost a thing! Many people tend to travel to Switzerland during the winter. But for me, this time, we did not travel during the winter. But Switzerland is just too beautiful regardless winter or other seasons. On the first day, we visited places like broken chair, fountains and explored around in Geneva. The Broken chair was larger than I thought it would be and I really recommend you to visit and get a good picture there! There are lots of people looking for good spot to take picture, make sure you find one! Broken Chair 📍1202 Geneva, Switzerland We then travelled to different places like Grindelwald and Lucerne. The views were all very amazing and you get easily get the route online. Just to share two best restaurants that I had in Switzerland. One was at Lucerne, called Ristorante Da Ernesto. It is an Italian restaurant and the pasta was good. Do try out their tiramisu too 🙌 Another restaurant was at Grindelwald, called Barry’s. Do try out their cheese pot which is the best seller in their restaurant. The prices are above average but I think it definitely worth to trying! Made out of 5.5 tonnes of wood and standing at a height of 12 metres, this impressive work of art has been dominating the Place des Nations since 1997.
