#summervacay So I decided to hike Bulam Mountain, thinking it’d be a nice forest walk with a cute little summit. Nope. This mountain came for my legs and my soul, but in a good way. The trail starts off pretty tame. Trees, birds, solid trail vibes. Then it suddenly turns into a rocky, hands-required type of climb. Like, I was fully using all fours at some points. Not complaining though, it was actually kinda fun, just caught me off guard. The views at the top are chef’s kiss. You get this wild panoramic shot of northern Seoul and beyond. I sat up there for way too long, just staring and snacking like I was in a hiking commercial. Also, the peak marker is iconic, had to fight for a photo with it. Bulam’s not the easiest, but if you like your hikes with a bit of drama and rock scrambling, it delivers. Just wear good shoes and bring your “I got this” attitude.

#summervacay Buramsan is like that underrated friend who turns out to be super fun once you actually hang out. The hike starts off pretty mellow, lots of trees and shade, and you're thinking, “Okay, this is cute.” But don’t get too comfy, it gets steeper real quick. Nothing too wild, but enough to make your legs question some decisions. The cool part is how peaceful it feels. Not too crowded (at least when I went), and the forest-y vibes are strong. Plus, you get these little peeks of the city through the trees that keep you going. The summit’s got some decent views, and if you’re into taking a break with a snack and pretending you’re in a hiking movie montage, this is your moment. Coming down is smooth, and there are a few different trails to explore. Perfect for when you want a solid workout but don’t feel like going full mountain goat. Would 100% recommend for a weekend reset.

#cityplaybook Spring is here with flowers blooming everywhere, making it a great time for trips. I went to Buramsan Azalea Hill (in Nowon-gu, Seoul), a famous spot for pretty spring flowers. It was nice and warm, and seeing so many pink flowers in the city was lovely. Lots of people enjoy it every year. I also got to see the last day of the Azalea Festival. Even though the main flower was the azalea, some were still blooming, so you might see them until early May (weather can change this). Walking on the wooden paths through the flowers was great for taking nice pictures. The soft music in the spring air made the festival even more fun. The pink umbrellas decorating the area were pretty. There were also food trucks where you could get snacks and watch people play music. The walking trails around Buramsan are good too. I enjoyed a relaxing walk to the viewpoint. The path from the Butterfly Garden, past a cafe, to the viewpoint was nice. When I walked back down, I went towards the Healing Town and felt really refreshed by the trees. Seeing all the pink flowers made me happy, and the spring breeze felt good. Buramsan Azalea Hill is a great place in Seoul to enjoy nature and feel the spring. 4 years ago, I met my younger sibling on Jeju Island Ollegil and went to Bul-am Mountain in Seoul, which is known as a night view restaurant in Seoul. You have to hike there to see the beautiful night view.
