A proud local Penang’s brand- had its humble beginnings at Farlim with a focused on home-cooked desserts as well as local Chinese Cantonese meals. All my family members like their food. Especially my kids like order nasi lemak and tomyam mihun. Recently we try their tau fu hua. It tastes superb delicious.

Located in Penang near CS Malaysian University of Science, Maxim Dim Sum Pekaka is a Hong Kong-style tea restaurant run by locals. Recommended by the hotel counter, we made a special trip to have breakfast tea, wanting to taste the authenticity of Penang's port point. Especially the kind with soup and delicious QQ fish paste/jelly! Introducing Kampar Fish Jelly, a local's favorite! The yong tau foo they serve is the Hakka kind, not the ones stuffed with pork meat and covered in soy sauce broth. Personally, the must get for us will always be the stuffed bitter gourd, fried brinjal and squid balls. And of course, don't miss out on their refreshing Aiyu Jelly! The queue can get really long during lunch hour, so be sure to get there early! Pricing: Economical! This is my favorite restaurant and my 1 star Michelin. The price is slightly higher but the taste is really catches my tongue. This annual event is organized for a month during December every year. Located at Tapak Pesta Pulau Pinang, the entrance fee is only RM2.00 for adult. Inside, there are so many stalls and activites such as IKS products, carpets, shoes and many more. The organizer also invite artist to perform every night. This is my favourite place for dim sum in Penang. I like their Har Gao (shrimp dumplings), Siu Mai (pork dumplings), century egg porridge, custard bun, deep fried shrimp rolls and Jian Dui (deep fried glutinous balls with peanut or bean paste filling). They are now expanded and have more seating to accommodate the increasing customers. Service was fast. The ordering process was easy and hassle free, just get the card and choose your dim sum. The waitress will tick the pricing for each item. Interestingly, they use a robot to serve drinks, how cute! Other than dim sum, they also serve main dishes like noodles and rice. Highly recommended. This restaurant is always crowded, might have difficulty to find parking. You may need to park further away and walk here. #staycation Me and my family want to have a short staycation at Penang and we stayed at Century Bay Private Residence. We stayed in a penthouse and it was great! The house was so spacious and comfortable for our family. There are three rooms and each of them have their own bathroom. There are also gazebo there for those who wants to have a family event. Great stay for family staycation!

The 2 bedrooms unit is very comfortable to my family. Got airconds, water heater shower, microwave, fridge, n most important things got washing machine. Family enjoyed the stay. Got shops very nearby. Walkable about 5 minutes.

Unplanned stay with my family... last minute booking thru Trip.com with some discount and cashback by ShopBack. Unexpected room facilities with huge size of apartment but bit old condition but still nice and still can be used in comfort condition. Completed with basic furniture on English styles. Nice swimming pool and gym a long the pool make perfect combination to whom like the kind of excercise. A few sport facilities available here such badminton court, basketball court, table tennis, pool table and a range of gym equipment to be use by visitors. But at the moment no buffet breakfast provided. Just a set breakfast served. This time I came to Niu Rugo and chose the Palm Residential Hotel as my base camp. I really think the convenience is excellent! Within a few steps of walking out of the hotel, we have already found a very high-quality screw powder shop, a big bowl of hot, plus colored drinks, satisfying and happy! The most Surprise is, after eating nearby there is also singing K, can immediately meet friends to continue the night program, after playing and can be very easy back to the hotel to rest, super chill! 🌟Niu Ruo Food & Entertainment Route Essence Recommendation This time I stayed at the Palm Residence Hotel, which is super convenient, there are several local snack bars near the downstairs, and the most memorable must be this screw powder specialist shop near the hotel. Push open the glass door, a comic-style mural comes into view, the wall is super photo-taking, sit down a bowl of freshly cooked screw powder served to the table, spicy fragrance, soup sour and spicy appetizer, super many ingredients, noodles and smooth and chewy, simply taste buds full score! For drinks, you can choose the shop's own specialty drinks, which are cool and spicy, and eye-catching for photos. After eating, you are not afraid of sweating from the spicy food. Next door or across the street is a karaoke place. If you like singing or want to kill time, you can get there in two steps!
