Look up at the astronomical dome of the Ulugh Beg Madrasah—it once contained the most accurate star chart of the Middle Ages, and the wisdom of the Timurid Empire still glitters between the bricks. 💫 Shah-i-Zinda Necropolis Many blue-green tombs string together the legend of the "Living King." When your fingertips slide across the Arabic patterns entwined with vines, you suddenly understand why the Persian poet said, "Every brick here is solidified scripture." 💫 Bibi Khanym Mosque The dome that Timur built for his beloved wife cost the craftsman his life—legend has it that an architect traded his life for the chance to touch the queen's fingertips, and this building itself, in my opinion, is not the emperor's fiery love, but Bibi Khanym's silent confession. 💫 Gur-e-Amir Mausoleum The Central Asian conqueror sleeps under the dark green agate coffin, and the legend of the "Curse of Timur" is still repeatedly chewed on by people after dinner. 💫 Hazrati Hizr Mosque The building on the small hill overlooks the entire ancient city. Leaning against the thousand-year-old cypress door frame and looking into the distance, I suddenly understood what Xuanzang wrote in "Great Tang Records on the Western Regions": "The land is fertile, and the flowers and fruits are luxuriant." #0yentravelJanuary2025 #Uzbekistan #overseastravel Enter the Ulugh Bek Madrasah on the left side of the Registan Square and you'll find this coffee shop on the second floor☕️ It's a hidden gem of a cafe that has no sign unless you go up to the second floor🥹🫶🏼 First of all, the location is amazing, and they make 4 types of coffee after you order, and let you choose your favorite mug from several types with Uzbek patterns🥰🤍 Takeout is OK, credit card payments are accepted, and you can just sit down There are only about three seats, so it seems like it depends on the timing whether you can get a good seat in the back 👀 (we waited about 10 minutes and were able to sit down safely 😄) When we ordered cappuccinos for each person at the eat-in, they even gave us some sweets 🍪✨ The trees in the courtyard were overgrown and the view was quite green (🤣🤣), but the view seems to be different depending on the season and time of day, and it was a really nice space ☺️🌿 If you go to Samarkand, I definitely recommend it ❕

Speaking of Uzbekistan, Samarkand is a must-see tourist spot in Samarkand. Registan Square is a must-see tourist spot. There are three madrasahs (theological schools) lined up in Registan Square. And I would like to recommend a cafe in the courtyard of Ulugh Beg Madrasa, which is on the left side of the square. Each small room is used as a souvenir shop, but there is a special cafe on the second floor. I was able to relax while enjoying delicious coffee. I would like to say that, but it was so cute that I kept taking pictures. Haha. •There are multiple patterns of cups, and you can choose one. (You can take away, but I definitely recommend eating in.) •The coffee is properly ground and delicious. Here, the blue buildings stretch like an ocean, breathtakingly beautiful, as if the stories from 'One Thousand and One Nights'🌙 are being enacted in reality. The main tourist spot in Samarkand, Uzbekistan. It's even more amazing than it looks in photos. It's most beautiful in the evening until the light-up at night. I asked a local and they said they weren't sure what time the light-up comes on at night, but when I went it was around 9:10pm. When VIPs or group tourists arrive, they play projection mapping and music like in the photo, which completely changes the atmosphere. There were a lot of people coming in to take photos from quite early on, so I recommend waiting in front of the square while it's still light out.
