Three-Day Taitung Trip
June 18-20 Taitung Journey
Day 1: Arrived in Taitung at 11:30 AM and rented a car to visit the Jiang Xian-er Art Museum. The museum was built with funds raised by the industry, initiated by Yan Changshou, who invited Jiang Xian-er back to Taitung. The three minimalist concrete buildings incorporate water elements, creating a serene and artistic atmosphere. After the visit, checked into the Chao Guya Hotel and admired the owner's art collection, which includes large-scale works by Jiang Xian-er.
Day 2: Left the hotel to visit the Taitung Art Museum and Taitung Cultural Center, coincidentally encountering the graduation ceremony and exhibition of the Taitung Girls' High School art class. The artworks showcased academic-style painting skills, complemented by computer AI-generated illustrations, adding a touch of fun. After lunch nearby, headed to the Taitung Forest Recreation Area for a forest bath. In the evening, checked into the Zhiben Jinlian Century Hotel, which offered activities like mochi pounding, ultra-light clay crafting, and handmade paper flower lanterns. Guests felt a great sense of accomplishment upon completing their creations.
Day 3: Departed the hotel to visit Baiyu Waterfall, enjoying the refreshing negative ions and vibrant energy. Then proceeded to the Taitung Railway Art Village, only to be surprised by its faded glory—it seemed to have been dormant for quite some time. For lunch, returned to the area near Chao Hotel to try the local queue-worthy delicacies recommended by locals: "Ke Lai Shi Le" fresh clam noodles and mung bean jelly. Finally, caught the 1 PM Tze-Chiang Limited Express back to Taipei, concluding the three-day Taitung trip with a sense of longing and anticipation to revisit "Beautiful Taitung".
