Changshou Park reopens with new facilities and highlights
Changshou Park is located at No. 260 Changshou Road, Putuo District, Shanghai, covering an area of 41,100 square meters. It was built in 1999 and opened in 2001. The park is divided into five scenic areas, with rich plants and many sculptures, and was once rated as a four-star park. After renovation in 2024, it will reopen on January 13, 2025, as an all-age-friendly health-themed community park.
🌟Highlights:
- All-age-friendly facilities: 49 leisure seats have been added, as well as various embedded seating areas and rest areas for the convenience of the elderly. At the same time, there is a "Chao Wan Hui" area with technological interactive devices such as fountain bicycles, bubble forests, and smart football, providing fun experiences for children and young people.
- Open space layout: The walls have been removed, and 10 main and secondary entrances and exits have been set up to seamlessly integrate the park with the urban streetscape. The north-south road system has also been opened up to connect the east and west, enhancing the accessibility of the park.
- Rich green landscape: The tall trees in the park have been preserved, and old steps in closed green spaces have been added or replaced. New vegetation is staggered and colorful, and the Flower Secret Realm, Colorful Forest, Forest Life, Fog Forest, Canyon Forest, and Black Forest areas have been optimized.
- Diverse functional spaces: The sunken circular square in the central area of Changshou Park has been reconstructed into a city gathering place and green forest, with water features, a large sloping lawn, and a spiral staircase. In addition, the supporting buildings in the Colorful Forest are planned to be transformed into cafes or book bars, and the activity square area will also be designed as a new open space.
