Fun fact: Melaka was one of the most important trading ports in Southeast Asia during the 15th and 16th centuries. No trip to Melaka is complete without exploring Jonker Street. I grabbed a box of piping-hot ondeh-ondeh (traditional rice cakes filled with palm sugar and coated with shredded coconut) and a refreshing coconut shake to cool off. Pro tip: If you’re visiting on the weekend, Jonker Street comes alive with its famous night market, offering even more street food, trinkets, and performances. By evening, I reluctantly made my way back to KL, but not without a promise to return. One of the most iconic landmark in Melaka. Easy to find and is located within the popular tourist area and a stone's throw away from Jonker Night Market. Strolling around the area and you will find other beautiful old historical buildings that still well preserved. The place is clean and safe. Visitors often enjoy walking around and taking photos in this area or experiencing the colorful bicycles here. A lots of souvenir shop lot here. Also have trishaw that very creative and beautiful. They decorate the trishaw with cartoons character and put some speakers playing songs. The kids really love it and the driver will ask you what song you want to hear. #malaka Malacca was the first overseas trip for my then girlfriend, current wife and thus the place holds special memories for us. Christ Church is the most iconic landmark of Malacca and thus it was a place we wanted to visit very much. We have not seen other church which was all red in colour. Malacca is one of the most special cities in Malaysia. Its about a two hour drive from Kuala Lumpur. Alternatively you could take a bus for only 10 Ringette. Once you arrive, you can head to the square. This is the heart of all the Dutch influenced small city. Back when Malaysia was invaded by Dutch, they choose this city as their landing port and cultural center. You can still feel this influence when you arrive today. old Catholic Church ruins exist on the mountain top and beautiful tower still stands in the square. If you have the chance, I can’t recommend stopping by enough. It’s super quaint and so special. #meetkualalumpur

First time self-driving trip to Malacca, relieved the impression of 🔓Malaysia🇲🇾. Malaysia is a big place with many Chinese shops and restaurants. Different cultures coexist here and it feels harmonious 🙂 The Jonker Street Night Market is open from 6pm to 12pm on Fridays and Sundays and is very lively. There are many different snacks and stalls, it's worth a visit 😙 Chris Church Melaka was built in 1753. It adds a lot of color when lit up at night. Next to the entrance of the night market there is a San Shu Gong shop where you can buy souvenirs at reasonable prices. It is recommended not to eat dinner. You can find a lot of delicious food at the night market stalls. If you want to sit down and eat slowly, there are some food stalls on the other side where you can sit down and eat. The coconut stall next to Sanshugong sells coconut shaved ice cream for RM5, it is cheap and delicious😋 The next day, we went to Yuan Kee Tea Restaurant to taste authentic Malay food: fried chicken 🍗 coconut sauce rice, laksa noodles, braised pork rice, all at affordable prices; Birkin's coconut milk jelly is amazing 👍🏻 The hygge shop is loved by young people. There are comfortable sofas and books on the upper floor to relax. Although the shop is small, the stickers and postcards are very powerful The upside-down house is very small, so find a cheap place to take pictures and have fun Fun Park is suitable for younger children, and there is a beach nearby for playing in the sand Overall, it was clean and comfortable. I will go to Impression Melaka to watch a show next time.
