Unique, but subpar dining experience in downtown Sapporo
This is the breakfast restaurant of the Daiwa Roynet Hotel in Sapporo. If you purchase breakfast, you will be issued a breakfast voucher when you check in. You can enter with the voucher during breakfast time.
As soon as I came in, I found that the whole space was much smaller than the official photos. It also looked old and dim, lacking a vibrant breakfast atmosphere.
There are not many seats, and it will be packed with about 20 to 30 people. On the first day, I went downstairs for breakfast. I arrived downstairs on time at 7 o'clock and there was already a queue. I saw that all the people inside were business guests in suits.
The table space is also very cramped. It is barely comfortable for one person to dine, but it is quite torturous if many people share a small round table.
There are no toilets in the restaurant and on the first floor. If you need it, go to the toilet behind the counter on the second floor, but the smoking room is also there, and sometimes you have to endure the smell of smoke.
The content of the meal is average. The most abundant choice of breakfast is the choice of drinks, apple juice, orange juice, milk, and hot coffee. The most surprising thing is that there is iced coffee.
There are not many hot food choices, and the daily meal dishes will not change. There will probably be Japanese grilled fish and pickles, miso soup, soup curry and grilled vegetables. The salad lettuce selection is rich, and the dessert is always only pudding and two cakes, which are not particularly exquisite or delicious.
Overall, it can be seen that the environment is very atmospheric in the bar restaurant, and exquisite chalk paintings can be seen everywhere. If you can have a drink here, it must be very romantic, but as a breakfast restaurant, it is indeed unsatisfactory.
