This summer, I embarked on a graduation trip with a few close friends, setting our sights on western Sichuan! We arrived at the Danba Jiarong Tibetan Village on Friday evening for our stay. For safety, my friend chose the only five-diamond homestay in Jiarong Tibetan Village—Yake Cloud House. Though it's called a homestay, the experience was akin to a hotel. We booked a suite with two bedrooms and a living room—one with a king bed and the other with twin beds—fully equipped. Breakfast was served as a buffet, but if that wasn’t your thing, you could also enjoy a bowl of beef noodles! Beyond that, the scenery here was truly stunning! Initially, we only treated this as a stopover, not expecting much in terms of picturesque views. But! Waking up to misty mountain vistas and the layered Tibetan village architecture in the distance, rich with ethnic charm, made for incredible photo opportunities. The viewpoint wasn’t far, but due to time constraints, we skipped it. Still, the staff kindly took some free photos for us! Oh, and the place even has cats and dogs! The Derge Sutra Printing Factory, which is passed by National Highway 317, is a place that is well worth visiting. We went there in mid-April and the ticket price was 50 yuan, with half price for seniors over 60 years old. Although the printing factory is small, it contains great significance. It is understood that all Tibetan scriptures are hand-printed here, and every word is hand-carved by masters in the factory.

We visited Danba, Jiaju and Suopo townships before coming to Zhonglu. All three of the small villages in Danba are super nice and beautiful, danba itself is a bit more of a gateway. However, Zhonglu was definitely our favourite! It's the most tucked away in and on the mountains, very authentic Tibetan and great Guesthouses with amazing foods. There are a ton of footpaths to explore this beautiful village. I would definitely recommend coming here and staying in a Jiaron Tibetan Guesthouse and enjoying the delicious food! 😋#deliciousfood #tibetanculture #mountain

Day 5: Shangmu Village - Kangding 🏨 No. 11 Homestay Day 6: Kangding - Ya'an (fish meal) - Chengdu PS: The homestays had excellent environments and service. Food options were limited on the road, but homestays usually had restaurants—we dined there every night. Life advice: Don’t wait!
