🇮🇩 My most impressive memory of Nusa Penida is not Broken Beach (Pasih Uug), but Diamond Beach! 🏝️ I only went to Diamond Beach on the entire east coast, and it was truly worth it! The path down to the beach is not as steep as Broken Beach, it's quite easy, and only takes 15 minutes. I highly recommend going down to Diamond Beach; the most beautiful scenery is below～ 💎 Diamond Beach gets its name from the giant limestone rocks surrounding the beach, which resemble diamonds. Overlooking from the cliff, the pure white sand, turquoise water, and sharp reefs standing in the sea make the whole scene look like a painting. 🌊 Reaching the beach below, I absolutely loved it; the scenery is stunning, with crystal-clear water and fine white sand. I suggest you allow plenty of time, Diamond Beach is super chill~ Anyway, the journey to Nusa Penida is bumpy and rugged, but the moment I stood on the cliff of Diamond Beach, with the blue sea and sky, and the white sand coming into view, all my fatigue was healed. 🤍 It turns out that all the hardships were to welcome this dreamlike beauty. 💎 Diamond Beach Entrance Fee: 30k (IDR)/person Parking Fee: 10k 💚 Recommendations 1. #weekendgetaways Upon arrival, we are required to purchase a ticket to enter the compound. There was a huge crowd gathering at the start of the path down to the beach. As many of them are trying to get their ig worthy shot, the crowd gets lesser when you trek down. The trek down was quite tough with how small and steep the steps are. Nearing the beach, there's no steps. You are required to use a rope to climb down to the beach. Do not suggest wearing slippers as they don't give you a grip on the rock climbing part. There aren't many people at the beach, so enjoy yourself soaking in the water in the Bali heat. It was worth coming here.

To make the 1 hr drive worth it, I decided to go down to the beach only to discover that it was not an easy descend. The steps were carved into the cliffside and it was steep. Ropes were used as handrails and to lower or pull oneself up. I was worried of getting injured but we reached the beach safely after 20 mins. Going back up was also 20mins and I was panting. If you are tight on time, skip the other attractions and visit this one as it is the most impressive beach i have seen from my holiday in Bali/Nusa Penida/Gili Islands. The walk to get there is quite tough and you have to be careful. The stairs are quite a challenge but any fit person can make it but with caution. There will be tons of people taking photos on the stairs so just keep an eye out. Definitely avoid it if it is raining as you could easily hurt yourself.

If you had to go somewhere on Nusa Penida, THIS IS IT. DIAMOND BEACH on the east side of the island. It costs a bit more since it takes an hour from the pier to get here. It's totally worth it. We did the whole bali tour and went to numerous spots. This was our favorite. It does have an entry fee of 25k each ($2) and parking for 5k (.33 cents). There are free swings at the top that faces another side of the cliff that reminded me of what you see at Kelingking Beach and an overlook of Diamond beach. So if you're strapped on time and money, just do this one. Most people stop at the top to take photos, so get there early and avoid the lines. I went all the way to the bottom and was surprised that I had to climb down using a rope the last 20 feet. "Diamond Beach is about 1hr drive from the famous Kelingking Beach. Pristine but also rocky and not for swimming or surfing. The steps look harmless at the top but the work isn’t completed, as we found out. 3/4 of our way down from the top, those steps and guiding ropes suddenly stopped and we had to scale down rock walls using a thin rope provided. Pls check with your guide if its been completed esp if bringing young kids/old folks. Please ensure you have good shoes, and water for your hike." #GiveThanks

Only after going to Indonesia did I realize that although it's not very convenient, it's really worth it! Itinerary sharing: Day 1: Surabaya airport pickup - Check into hotel Someone met us upon arrival, the first step to peace of mind. After checking into the hotel, free time to explore. Surabaya city center feels like a big small town. Day 2: Surabaya hotel - Sewu Waterfall - Depart for Bromo Set off at 5 AM to Sewu Waterfall. There are also many treehouses to check in there. ⚠️ Tips summary: 1️⃣ Many places only accept cash (even for boat tickets and street food), exchange enough Indonesian Rupiah in advance! 2️⃣ Spray insect repellent heavily! 🦟 Especially in Ubud rice terraces and rainforest areas, local repellent is not very effective, better to bring your own! 3️⃣ Don’t skimp on hiking and water-crossing gear: Volcanic ash is heavy! #summervacay Penida is one of the popular small island besides Bali, by going to the island you have to take a ferry to there. Beautiful scenery is always worth to explore even the pathway is struggling, to see these scenarios you have to walk and climb like a million miles. On the way to diamond beach we even met a snake!!! I would say it wasn’t those side seeing spots, you have to pay for it.😝 But the rich views end up super worthy, I would remember forever. Strongly not recommended to elderly people and kids, young people are welcome to the adventure.
