Dong Mansion is located in Renqiao Village, Xiakou Town, Qingtongxia City, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region. It covers an area of 14,391 square meters and was built in the 31st year of the Guangxu period of the Qing Dynasty (1905). It was the mansion of the famous general of the late Qing Dynasty and the governor of Gansu Province, Dong Fuxiang. Because Dong Fuxiang was once an official of the "Prince Shaobao", it is also called "Gongbao Mansion". It is the only well-preserved official mansion in Ningxia and has a certain representativeness in the late Qing Dynasty buildings in the northwest. Dong Fuxiang (1839-1908) Hui nationality, Guyuan, Gansu (now Ningxia). Participated in the Shaanxi-Gansu Hui Uprising in the early Tongzhi period of the Qing Dynasty. Later incorporated by Zuo Zongtang, the governor of Shaanxi and Gansu. In the first year of Guangxu in the Qing Dynasty (1875), he went out of the customs to participate in the siege of Agubai, and was rewarded for his meritorious service. In the fifteenth year of Guangxu (1889), he was the general soldier of Aksu. In the sixteenth year of Guangxu (1890), he was the governor of Kashgar. In the 20th year of Guangxu (1894), he was promoted to the rank of Shangshu. He was then appointed as the governor of Gansu and transferred to Beijing. Because of his support for the Boxers, he was dismissed. Later died of illness. In the 28th year of Guangxu in the Qing Dynasty (1902), Dong Mansion started construction. In the 31st year of Guangxu in the Qing Dynasty (1905), Dong Mansion was completed. Dong Mansion integrates the craftsmanship of the Qing Dynasty, draws on the construction skills of traditional Chinese wooden structures since the Tang Dynasty, and combines the architectural styles of the north and the south, and has high historical, artistic and scientific value.
