Enchanted Rock State Natural Area – Fredericksburg
#summervacay
Climbing Enchanted Rock at sunrise was one of my most memorable Texas summer experiences. The massive pink granite dome rises out of the Hill Country and offers 360° views at the top that are just stunning. The hike isn’t too long, but it’s steep—bring water! Up top, I sat on the warm rock, watched birds soar, and felt completely at peace. It’s spiritual, surreal, and perfect for hikers, photographers, or anyone who loves wide-open Texas landscapes. #summervacay

Lyndon B. Johnson National Historical Park
#summervacay
History and nature blend beautifully at the LBJ National Historical Park. I explored the “Texas White House,” saw President Johnson’s childhood home, and drove the ranch loop past fields of wildflowers and grazing longhorns. The visitor center was informative, and the shady trees around the property made it a pleasant summer walk. It felt personal and deeply Texan—like stepping into the life of a man who shaped history from his Hill Country roots. #summervacay

Enchanted Rock State Natural Area
#summervacay
I hiked Enchanted Rock just before sunset on a warm summer evening, and it felt like I was on another planet. The pink granite dome glowed golden in the light, and the views from the top were epic—rolling hills, clear skies, and wind rustling through cedar trees. There’s a peacefulness up there that’s hard to describe. Whether you’re into stargazing, geology, or just climbing big rocks, this is a Texas favorite worth revisiting every summer. #summervacay

Willow City Loop (Bluebonnet Trail) – TX Hill Country
#springitinerary
I chased Texas bluebonnets and found paradise on the Willow City Loop! This scenic drive near Fredericksburg is lined with waves of blue, accented by Indian paintbrush and golden coreopsis. It felt like driving through a painting! Early spring is prime time — I went in late March and caught peak bloom. Pulled over often for pics and even had a picnic under a blooming oak. Light traffic, friendly locals. Perfect for a slow, dreamy afternoon. If your #springitinerary needs wildflower magic, this loop is non-negotiable. Bonus: wineries nearby!
