2025 Cockermouth Travel Guide: Must-see attractions, popular food, hotels, transportation routes (updated in July)

Very easy to get to if you know where to look... Looking to explore this area again in a few weeks time and hopefully get some more stunning pictures of the great British countryside.

#springitinerary We enjoyed a truly beautiful circular walk in the Lake District, surrounded by dramatic fells, peaceful lakes, and charming woodland trails. The route offered everything — gentle climbs, sweeping views, and quiet moments by the water’s edge. Spring flowers lined the paths, and we even spotted a few lambs in the fields. Every turn revealed another stunning scene, from mirror-like reflections on the lake to rolling green hills under blue skies. It was the kind of walk that feeds the soul and lingers in your memory.

Fika This is a coffee shop in Cockermouth, a small town near where we stayed. It is called FIKA. It is a dog-friendly restaurant. We came here for breakfast. There are so many breakfast options, there is always one that suits you. We didn’t have to wait long after ordering and we could eat. The coffee is super delicious, with a strong coffee flavor. The food tasted very good, the seats were comfortable and the environment was great!
