The first time me and my family had driven past the Furano Cheese Factory, I had only been attracted by the interesting architecture and had vowed silently to myself that I would return later on. Then, due to some miraculous turn of fate, my family did end up going there! The intricate architecture and rusty feel really made the whole place feel warm and homey, despite the freezing weather outside. Furano is a good place for parents and children~ I took my children to visit the Furano Cheese Factory. The cheese factory is not very big, but there are transparent glass windows to see the cheese making process. The process is interesting and vivid. For children living in the city, it is a novel and special experience! We stopped by the Furano Cheese Factory during our visit to Hokkaido, and it turned out to be a fun and unexpectedly enjoyable experience. The building itself has a charming, almost Alpine feel, nestled in a quiet part of town surrounded by trees. It felt peaceful the moment we stepped out of the car. Inside, we got to see part of the cheese-making process through glass windows. There’s also a tasting area, which was the best part for me—especially the soft camembert and smoked cheese. They even had lavender-flavored cheese, which sounded strange at first, but actually worked surprisingly well. Apart from cheese, there’s an ice cream stand right next door, and their cheese-flavored soft serve was delicious—rich, creamy, and not too sweet. We also tried some of their fresh milk and butter products, which were equally good. You can tell everything is made with care using high-quality local ingredients. The place is quite family-friendly, and I noticed some kids trying their hand at making butter in one of the side workshops. It’s not a huge place, but it’s well worth the short stop if you’re in the Furano area. This time I came to Furano Cheese Factory in Furano. Although I didn't visit the production and DIY, I was very satisfied with the food and the walk, and there was an unexpected surprise! I ordered cheese soft serve ice cream, which tasted very smooth, rich and not greasy. While eating, I could look at the snow scene through the floor-to-ceiling windows, which felt very healing. There are many special cheeses in the store that you can try. The decoration style of the store is warm and the wood texture is very strong, which makes it very comfortable to walk around. The most surprising thing is that I met a little fox outdoors. You can see the cheese making room and aging room through the glass inside the factory. The direct sales corner on the second floor has a cheese tasting corner, where cheese and confectionery are sold. The "Pizza Factory" is also popular, where you can eat authentic Neapolitan pizza baked by artisans who trained in Naples.

A cheese Factory located at Furano. This place offer you to see the process on how they make Cheese. At 1st floor, you can see the production line and at the 2nd floor they sell food that made from the cheese. There is free tasting for the cheese too. The enroute was picturesque. They had many varieties of cheese and it is free to taste. Must try the Fresh Milk there. It was actually fresh. The machines used for making the cheese were displayed but there was no guide to explain! If you walk behind the factory, there is pizza stall and ice cream shop. You have to try the pizza, it taste good, it cost around 1000 yen. The cheese was really fresh and it made the pizza more delicious. It is one of the best pizzas i had ever tasted. Behind the pizza store, there will be a shop that sell ice cream. There was also an Ice cream parlour and they were fresh and delicious.
