Galle Clock Tower is located to the west of the main city gate of Galle, Sri Lanka, and is a landmark building of the ancient city of Galle. The clock tower was built in 1883 and is 4 stories high. It was built by the citizens of Galle to express their gratitude to Dr. Daniel Antonis. Daniel Antonis was a member of the Legislative Council of Sri Lanka and a famous surgeon who saved many lives.
