GENTLE MONSTER's Artistic Vision
Last week, I passed by the GM flagship store on Shanghai's Huaihai Road by chance. It wasn't my first visit, but this time I discovered that the store had expanded to four floors.
Not only is it an art installation exhibition, but beyond glasses, there are many more worthwhile things to see
This brand has taken many great steps beyond just selling glasses!
On the first floor, from left to right, it's divided into an 'eating' art installation+cafe; this time 'eating' croissants! But the croissants have turned into treadmills and dumbbells.
It firmly tells croissant fans that a croissant is loaded with butter! Remember to move after eating!
Then, there's also a delicious coffee special. This time I ordered a 'black sesame' special, haha, it's not black sesame paste, shake the cup a bit, and there are crackling lines!
Then, in the middle section, there's the GM X Majira collaboration, the latest series to try on at will
Moving further to the right, there's a Korean fragrance brand with a very good cost-performance ratio and taste. The candles are displayed inside a huge 'wrinkled tomato' installation, which looks very impressive
The entire first floor takes the concept of what to see in glasses and what is pleasing to the eye to the extreme!
On the second floor, it's a buyer's shop model, with several Korean clothing brands, with prices ranging from about 400 to 4000, and styles from everyday T-shirts to party wear. It's the kind of place where you might make a purchase without much thought
Unexpectedly, there are also third and fourth floors! The third floor returns to GM's regular glasses section;
But the fourth floor actually has a heart-shaped stone sculpture! And it's locked.
Next to the sculpture, there are many small stones scattered around, and it turns out there's a key under the stone. If you choose the right one, you can unlock the sculpture, and there's a 50,000 prize! At the same time, GM will also donate 50,000 to a charity! This interaction is really yyds
There's actually a little surprise on the fourth floor, coming out to the balcony, you can see the famous LVMH Twin Star Villas! It seems that next time I should take the opportunity of the exhibition to go in for a visit!
