This library was designed by Toyo Ito, and is a wonderful place where you can feel the warmth of wood as if you were in a forest. This is a library, but there are also Starbucks and Lawson next door, and there are food trucks in the plaza, so you can enjoy it at your leisure even if you're not going to the library. There are plenty of chairs and desks to sit and read books, and small children play in the kids' space, so it was a lovely, relaxing time. This community center is adjacent to the north side of Gifu City Hall. The library is on the second floor. The interior design is very artistic! All new libraries these days are beautiful, but this one is particularly stunning. The ceiling is a wooden lattice roof with beautiful, intricate curves. You can see Mt. Kinka right in front of you from the balcony. There is also a Starbucks and a convenience store inside.
