Museum introduction: The museum consists of a shared hall, an exhibition building (main building), and a leisure water street. The design concept is inspired by the three elements of boat, sail, and water in the ancient canal landscape.
With the canal as the clue, the historical culture is integrated into the building. The roof of the shared hall is shaped like a "boat," and the roof of the exhibition building (main building) is shaped like a "sail." The leisure water street between the two buildings,
combined with the street intersections, awnings, and gatehouses on the facade of the exhibition building (main building), forms a scene similar to the wharf of the canal.
I went there late, and the museum was closed when I arrived, so I didn't go in. Photos 2–5 are of the Beijing Art Center, and photos 10–11 are of the Beijing City Library (see the previous note for specific visiting instructions). They are all nearby and can be visited in one day.
