🌟Highlights and Features:
🌈Humanistic Landscape [○]: Guangzong Temple, located at the western foot of Helan Mountain, is called "Southern Temple" by locals because it is south of Bayanhot. It was built according to the will of the Sixth Dalai Lama Cangyang Gyatso. The temple is famous in the Mongolian and Tibetan religious circles for enshrining the Sixth Dalai Lama's flesh-and-blood stupa. It is known as the largest Tibetan Buddhist temple in Alashan.
[One] History: It was first built in the 22nd year of Emperor Qianlong’s reign (1757 AD). After the temple was completed, the body of the Sixth Dalai Lama was brought from Chaogetu Hure Temple (Zhaohua Temple) and enshrined in the temple. He was revered as the first generation of Gegen (Living Buddha) of the temple. In the 25th year of Emperor Qianlong's reign, the emperor bestowed a plaque with the words "Guangzong Temple" written in four languages: Mongolian, Chinese, Manchu and Tibetan.
