🏨 Spacious Comfort & Great Coffee – A Tohoku Favorite at Hotel Sankyo Fukushima
HOTEL SANKYO FUKUSHIMA turned out to be one of the better hotels we stayed at during our Tohoku road trip. We booked a triple room, and to our delight, it was spacious, clean, and very comfortable—a rare find when traveling as a family in Japan.
Check-in was a breeze—quick, efficient, and with warm service. The lobby had a welcoming vibe, and one great bonus was the free coffee station available throughout the day until 9pm. It was such a nice touch, especially for coffee lovers like us.
Inside the room, we were pleasantly surprised to find drip coffee provided instead of the usual instant sticks—a small detail, but it really made a difference. The beds were comfy, and the linens were crisp and clean, which made for a great night’s sleep. The room size gave us all plenty of breathing space, and the kids loved being able to move around freely.
We were driving an MPV, so unfortunately it didn’t fit into the hotel’s parking facility, but luckily there was a public parking lot just across the street, so it wasn’t an issue. Another huge convenience: there was a Lawson convenience store right at the doorstep, which made grabbing late-night snacks or breakfast-on-the-go super easy.
Overall, it was a very pleasant stay—great value, thoughtful touches, and all the right amenities. We’d gladly come back again if we’re ever in Fukushima!
