#AsiaTravelRecord From Bali, Indonesia, we took a 50-minute domestic flight to Lombok. This is Bali 30 years ago. Islam is strong, and you can hear the Quran. The people are simple and kind, and the food is suited to Japanese tastes. Prices are low and the sea is beautiful. You can easily get to nearby islands and see sea turtles while snorkeling. A foreign land that you should definitely visit.

This is the largest mosque in Lombok and it's open to visitors including non-believers like myself. Of course, only Muslims can go into the reading room. The highlight of the visit is going up to the top of the mineret in a lift to get great views of the island. You can even see Bali. It costs 20,000 IDR per adult for a foreigner (5,000 for a local). Some parts are a little bit broken bcs of the recent earthquake. But we can still enjoy the place, great architecture. You can enjoy Lombok scenery by going on top of the minaret with elevator (dont worry it's safe), it'll cost only IDR 5k per person #summervacation #
