Bangkok Suite Room Recommended as a cost-effective family accommodation!
#Overseas hotels
April to June in Bangkok is hot and humid, making it hard to endure the heat, and July to October, the rainy season, is likely to bring rain. When I visited Bangkok in hot June and rainy September, it was the off-season, so I was able to reserve 5-star hotels at a low price.
When I tried to reserve a Bangkok hotel in February for the kids' winter vacation, the prices were really high. November to March in Bangkok is the dry season, so the weather is good and it's a good time to travel, so if you don't hurry, you'll likely miss out on the accommodations you like.
I was also worried about choosing a 5-star hotel, but I missed out on the hotels I had my eye on. The reviews were ambiguous, so I was half-hearted and booked the 4-star JC Kevin Sathon Hotel as a family hotel for 4 nights and 5 days. It was the most satisfying hotel out of the three hotels I stayed at during my 10-day trip! I'll tell you what I liked one by one. :)

💜 JC Kevin Sathon Hotel Suite
Check in at the hotel lobby and take the elevator up to the 27th floor where the suite is. I like the view from the high floors, so I always request a high floor & non-smoking room when making a reservation.
When you open the room door, you will see a spacious and open living room. I really like the bright living room without having to turn on the lights because of the sunlight coming in through the large windows.
The spacious kitchen, equipped with a refrigerator, electric kettle, coffee, and simple snacks, has a sink so you can easily wash things like fruit. Above all, there is a large dining table so I could order food delivered every evening and eat comfortably.
The suite has a large living room, balcony, a large room with a king bed + private bathroom (bathtub) + balcony, a small room with two single beds, and a bathroom in the living room. Isn't the layout really good?
The large room is right in the hallway. I really like it here! There is a king bed, a private bathroom with a bathtub, and a small terrace. It has everything you need to go to the living room. There is air conditioning and a TV here. TVs are only in the living room and the large room.
On the left side of the hallway is a small room with two single beds, which is very spacious. There is a window so it doesn't feel stuffy, and there is air conditioning and a dressing table. There is a full-length mirror in front of the bed so it's nice to check your appearance right after waking up in the morning. :)
I enjoyed opening the door to the terrace in the living room that was well-lit and going out to see the view both in the morning and at night during my 4-night, 5-day stay. The view of Bangkok's city in the morning is nice, and at night, the lights from the cars on the road and the colorful twinkling lights from the bridge are so pretty that I didn't have to go to a separate night view spot.
🩷 Breakfast & Swimming Pool
When I made my hotel reservation, I included breakfast in the options and ate it every day for 4 days without fail. I don't eat breakfast often, but breakfast is a must when traveling with children.
The hotel breakfast I ate for 3 days was similar to other hotels in terms of composition. It was similar to other hotels, with bread, coffee & drinks, salad, milk & cereal, omelets, and fruits, but the rice noodles were really delicious!
The JC Kevin Sathorn Hotel swimming pool is in a rather unique place. Usually, hotels have infinity pools on the upper floors, right? Here, the swimming pool is located outside the 2nd floor where breakfast is served.
There is a small children's pool at the very end of the long swimming pool, but it is so shallow that I played in the 140cm deep pool with an arm tube. Towels are also provided by the pool.
💜 Overall Review
🔹️The comfortable and pleasant hotel lobby with the reception and cafe, and the friendly hotel staff made the hotel's first impression so good.
🔹️You can pick up delivery food from the lobby.
🔹️A spacious 2 bedrooms & 2 bathrooms of 121m² (approximately 36 pyeong), balcony
🔹️The living room has a large window, so the sunlight comes in well and the laundry dries well.
🔸️When the sunlight hits, you can see dust that hasn't been cleaned here and there.
🔹️The bathroom is large and has a shower booth, and the master room has a bathtub. (Water quality is not an issue)
🔸️The master room's bathroom is semi-transparent, has no lock, and the toilet makes a long sound.
🔹️The city view from the high floor and the night view of the bridge are beautiful. 🔹️There are many local restaurants, cafes, 7-Eleven convenience stores, massage shops, pharmacies, etc. around the hotel. 🔸️They are all a bit far away, so you have to walk for more than 10 minutes. 🔹️It is close to Iconsiam and Lumpini Park. 🔹️The best taste of the breakfast buffet is rice noodles and eggs.
I care the most about cleanliness, and there were some dust and old signs of use, but I didn't feel any major inconvenience. And I liked the size, layout, and condition of the room.
There wasn't much to eat around, but there are restaurants and cafes if you walk a little bit. If you don't feel like going out, you can order Grab delivery like I did! You can pick it up at the hotel lobby.
If you are looking for a family accommodation for 4 or more people and children in Bangkok, Thailand, I recommend JC Kevin Sathorn Hotel!
