How about sleeping on the vast grassland! Ulan Mod is absolutely amazing
Overwhelmed by the city heat, I finally made up my mind to run 🏃🏻♀️ to the grasslands.
The journey from the airport to the homestay was long, taking 2 hours, but the roadside scenery was breathtaking! How did the Windows desktop wallpaper come to life?
Snapping photos of clouds, winds, and grazing cattle and sheep, watching herdsmen ride past on horseback under the dazzling sunset—
A total immersion~
Summer finally feels a little lighter, like a feather, gently floating onto the grasslands of Ulan Mod.

① Turn your back to the world, and you’ll have your own world.
Staying in the little mushroom houses of Fei Niao Ji, each independent mushroom nestles by the riverbank, with elm groves as neighbors.
Raindrops, clouds, breezes, flowers—every second brings change, too much to take in.
On sunny days, I move myself outside to bask and snap photos.
When it rains, I sit by the open door, watching pea-sized raindrops, then turn my head to see sunlight spilling through gaps in the clouds—so magical.
The dusk around 7 or 8 PM is incomparable: pinks, purples, blues—a long, silent century-old film. Horses lazily swish their tails, reluctant to return home, birds soar, emotions stir, and a moment of silence makes me want to shout at the sky: Don’t go.

② Try some Inner Mongolian cuisine.
Breakfast is lavish, featuring Inner Mongolian-style self-service condiments and dried fruit snacks, silky-smooth Mongolian milk tea, fragrant and sweet Alamus original milk sticks, hand-pulled dried milk, sweet milk tablets, and addictive air-dried beef jerky…
And the unforgettable main courses: grassy-scented beef and lamb paired with wine, the passage of time marked by the rising and fading steam from the hotpot.

③ The grassland night sky is magnificent—hard to leave but perfect for deep sleep.
As night falls, astronomy, the cosmos, the Milky Way, and stars shine so brightly they erase human traces. Those grand celestial beings beyond Earth, their mere existence is a mercy to humanity—a vast rational system infused with the moonlight of emotion.
Strolling and chatting slowly with friends, reluctantly heading back to the room, I slept the best sleep I’ve ever had.

Grateful for the Creator’s gift—the grasslands.
Even if it’s just a once-in-a-lifetime encounter,
At least we still have the grasslands.
