The happiest thing is that you can rent the entire B&B and travel to the beach with your family or friends. It's not a big place compared to Changwei, and you can walk to the beach very quickly if you live there. The beach is not suitable for swimming, but you can take photos and play in the water. If the weather is good, you can get up early the next day and watch the sunrise at the beach.  In terms of transportation, if you take the bus in downtown Shenzhen, it takes more than an hour to transfer to Jiaochangwei. If you take a taxi in Luohu, it will take you one hour. The online taxi fare is about RMB120. If you are traveling with a large family, it is recommended to book a taxi online as it is more convenient and saves time.  You can stay at Jiaochangwei for one or two nights, and then go to the nearby Dapeng City. It takes about 15 minutes on foot. It is an ancient city worth visiting, or you can go to Yangmeikeng. Jiaochangwei is the only village with a coastline and a tourist attraction in Dapeng New District, Shenzhen, Guangdong. Jiaochangwei, as the name suggests, was originally a training ground for officers and soldiers of the fort. It is separated from Dapeng Fort by a bridge. It is a good place to enjoy the sea view, feel the sea breeze and eat seafood.

We took a taxi to the P1 parking lot at Jiaochangwei, then walked about 7 minutes to the guesthouse using navigation. The location was easy to find. The guesthouse owner was very friendly, helped us carry our luggage, and even upgraded our room for free. The room had a great view, and the cleaning staff were polite and professional. There are plenty of dining options nearby, and I highly recommend a café by the seaside near the guesthouse. The prices are reasonable, and there are many Instagram-worthy spots. Jiaochangwei is also conveniently close to Dapeng Fortress for sightseeing. This was my first visit to Jiaochangwei, inspired by online videos. We took a taxi from Luohu, and the driver kept complaining about Jiaochangwei's beach, saying it was dirty and not worth visiting. He even suggested we go to Yangmeikeng instead. But since we had already booked the guesthouse, we decided to stick to our plan and save Yangmeikeng for next time. Luckily, the weather was perfect that day—blue skies, white clouds, and crystal-clear blue water. When we arrived, the tide was low, so we immediately changed into shorts and flip-flops to explore the beach. We saw many people digging for clams, and schools of small fish swimming around. It was truly a delightful experience.
