🏛️✨ “One day in Lopburi is cool…go back in time with Phra Narai
A free day when we want to escape the city, not to the sea, not to the mountains, but to stop time at "Lopburi", a historical city with a mix of ancient Thai and European charm and a touch of French in every corner.
🚗 Drive from Bangkok for only 2 hours, the first destination is Wang Phra Narai Ratchaniwet, an old palace that King Rama III restored from the original roots of King Narai. Inside is a classic Thai-Western style. We walked through the throne hall, the reception hall, the Phra Chao Hao building, to the throne hall that still has the original structure well preserved.
🌳 The air is shady, there are big trees, the light comes through the old windows, making each photo look like a scene from a period drama. Knowing that "Lopburi" used to be a port city to receive foreign guests makes it even more interesting!
📸 Take pictures to feel like walking in "Ayutthaya x Europe" that tells a story through old but powerful bricks.
🍴 For lunch, we continued to Baan Wichaiyen, a vintage Thai house cafe decorated with deep taste, serving ancient Thai recipes beautifully arranged with beautiful Thai desserts in every dish.
The menu I tried was Khao Chae, a fragrant broth, and Dok Lamduan and Khao Niao Luem Kluen. The taste was delicate, matching the atmosphere of the old house in the middle of the garden. #TravelThailand #TravelLopburi
This trip had no sea, no magnificent nature, only old bricks, stories, and fragrant Thai desserts that made us feel that “Thailand still has many fascinating things.” ❤️
