If you haven't tried it yet... please, please, please give it a try! At first, you might wonder, 'What does this taste like?' but as you keep eating, you'll find it strangely addictive. It might even become a fruit you crave more than mangosteen! And this trip was even more special because it was my first overseas trip with my mom. We went on a package tour, but there were no regrets at all. ✔ My Khe Beach, one of the world's top 7 beaches – the color of the sea was extraordinary, and the sound of the waves was so healing...🌊 ✔ Ba Na Hills – met a monkey in a fairy-tale-like village! (I wanted to take a picture with it, but I couldn't, so I ended up photoshopping it... does it show? ㅋㅋㅋ) ✔ The food was perfect – Vietnamese cuisine suited our tastes perfectly, and both my mom and I were 100% satisfied! Arrived at Da Nang airport safely and took a cab to check-in hotel, took a short rest and out we go. First location I went to Lady Buddha, place was very windy and you can see the cities of Danang. Went to MyKhe beach the next day morning to take a short walk, checked out of hotel and went to Sunworld Bana Hills. Took a 15mins cable car up there and there is this concierge staff took us to our hotel to check-in, how nice. So we spend our day at Bana Hills, not to left out the famous Golden Bridge which you definitely have to see. Place is very windy so I recommend having a jacket & pants if you are afraid of cold. Next day we went to Hoi An, people there are friendly and good is great. Took their famous boat ride which is a must, but beware of the prices because some might overcharge more. Weather is very hot there in the afternoon fyi, please wear something light and don’t get heat stroke. After a few hustle & bustle days in Thailand I decided to take a quick hop over to enjoy the sights, sounds, and a bit of R&R time on the central Vietnamese coast 😍 🏝️ Local food spots where I was the only tourist/westerner - amazing food! #Overseas travel This is a place called Yeongheungsa Temple in Da Nang. It is located very close to Da Nang city center, so it is a really good place to go. You can see a really big Buddha statue here. And the view of Da Nang city from here is really great. And there were a lot of monkeys here. They were not very wary of people. It was really nice to be able to see them up close. I was able to take pictures with the monkeys more naturally than I thought. It was one of the special moments in many ways. If you go to Da Nang, Vietnam, I really recommend you visit this place. It was one of the places I visited that had a good view and was well-managed. And you can ride a motorbike up here, so I rode a motorbike. Parking is free, so it was really nice. You can also take a taxi, so I recommend using various transportation methods to go there.

It’s not bad to travel to famous tourist destinations like Bana Hills and Han Market that are often recommended on the Internet, but Da Nang is a small city that’s easy to get around, so experiencing the local daily life firsthand leaves a deeper memory. It was also fun to slowly walk through the alleys of the local market, sit down at a local cafe to drink coffee, or discover unexpected restaurants at small restaurants near the beach. Instead of the common rice noodles, I tried the famous ‘Lechon’ style pork barbecue in the Philippines, and the flavor of the meat, crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, was so impressive that I still can’t forget it.
