Liangzhu Museum: A small but rich museum
There are only three small exhibition halls and a special exhibition called "Yi Zi Sun" (meaning "good for descendants").
The museum is bright, and the glass is specially designed to have almost no reflection. All the photos were taken with a phone.
Liangzhu culture has more than 1,000 primitive characters (carved symbols). The treasure of the first exhibition hall may seem unremarkable, but it has more than a dozen carved symbols that record a complete event. Unfortunately, archaeologists have not yet deciphered it, and there are many speculations.
The second exhibition hall demonstrates the structure of the ancient city, which was still used in the Ming and Qing dynasties.
The altar from 5,300 years ago (now Yaoshan Ruins Park), etc.
The early hierarchical system, kings and royal power/priests/craftsmen, and the jade in the third exhibition hall complement each other. Here is the earliest jade cong, which is different from the taller ones we usually see, but the foundation is still round heaven and square earth.
The third exhibition hall has the second treasure of the museum, a jade bi with bird carvings.
All of the above complement each other. On July 6, 2019, Liangzhu culture successfully became a world cultural heritage, allowing our 5,000-year history to be recognized by the world, extending it by 1,400 years from the previous 3,600 years.
The museum is actually outside the ancient city ruins. Because it is a world cultural heritage, it is required to retain its original appearance unless it can be restored.
Not really a disadvantage: There is only a small cultural and creative point in the museum that provides snacks and coffee, and there are almost no restaurants around. Eat before you come.
Tickets: Free

About 45 minutes. Today, I met a volunteer teacher from Taiwan, Mr. Zhang, who was very enthusiastic and gave a wonderful explanation.
Transportation: Not far from Hangzhou West, taxi fare is over 20, and you can also take a bus, but it is a bit detour. The subway is not very convenient.
